I'd say he's succeeded admirably. He is still very relevant and very much in the limelight.

It must be really pissing you off.

On The Daily Politics today the very attractive prospective Labour candidate was told that Nigel Farage was deemed to have been the most influential person in politics in the last ten years and after several attempts to try and dodge the question she eventually had to mumble her agreement

Am I pissed of that Farage was denied a seat at the big boy's table for the 8th time?

Am I pissed off that Brexit couldn't win despite all the polling and being odds on bookie favourites?

Am I pissed off that despite millions in free advertising and his face plastered on every paper and TV show, riding high from the MEP results, they STILL lost in a heavily leave area?

No not really. I am delighted.

Funny you should mention the free advertising..how about £9 million of tax payers money .

always a Norwood boy, where ever I live.

It depends what you mean by influential. He certainly influenced the Tories into calling the referendum which could lead to the break up of that party (let's hope) but his agenda to create the basis of a party similar to the Republicans in the US will end in failure.

That's a curious thought.

If the Tories broke up all their voters would go to Farage......So I'd rather suspect you'd very much hope they didn't break up.

This comment displays the racist nature of the Brexit party that they have been trying to hide.

The reason Labour won is because they were talking about the issues that affect working people, not some fantasy re-creation of the past where Britain ruled the waves (and dusky foreigners).

Childish.

Anything other than a Labour win would have been surprising in the Asian outpost of Peterborough.

They scraped in, in a mid term bi-election with a floundering government and only 600 votes more than a party only formed a few weeks ago.

Do you actually think that is something to cheer?

Sorry, that's absolute hogwash.

The demographic shift to a higher number of minority voters in Peterborough is definitely a strong factor in Labour votes. Hrolf is talking the truth.

And when you refer to Labour caring about 'working people' you are truly talking about a 're-creation of the past'.

Labour, as a party, haven't cared for the working class since Smith died.
