What a load of tosh.

Morrison's doesn't come high up at all. How much has Greene been paid?

Aldi is the one, followed by Waitrose to whom our local sheep farmer supplies.

In September 2015, Morrisons announced the sale of its 140 M Local shops to Mike Greene and Greybull Capital, to be re-branded as My Local, for £25 million.

Now why do I find the Brexit Party untrustworthy...

I am sorry, I have to say this. You are showing genuine stupidity. Check the dates. The excitable headlines are superseded by the real truth.

September 2017. Does that not count then as it was two years ago.

The fact remains that the EU claim not to like chlorinated chicken as it can cover up poor processing when we already have poor processing in the UK

No we don't.

Read my posts, what is so hard for goodness sake?

The apparent issues in 2017 were investigated later that year and the review published in 2018 by the FSA which found little of concern. Surprise surprise, the Press made a fuss in order to sell papers but they didn't really understand - or probably really care about - what they were doing.

''In September 2017, an undercover investigation filmed workers allegedly changing the slaughter dates – and hence the sell-by dates – at a 2 Sisters plant in West Bromwich. The company strenuously denied the allegations.[16][17] Within days, management at the plant decided to suspend production.[18] The subsequent Food Standards Agency investigation report, published 2 March 2018, cleared the business of any serious non-compliances.[19] The CEO of the FSA, Jason Feeney, said: "Our investigation found some areas for improvement but the issues were resolved promptly by the company, who co-operated fully, and at no point did we find it necessary to take formal enforcement action"[20]''

Quote The inquiry was called after the Guardian and ITV News recorded undercover footage in August showing 2 Sisters workers altering the source and slaughter date of poultry being processed at the firm’s Site D plant in West Bromwich.

Other 2 Sisters workers have also told the Guardian and ITV News that they have been instructed to alter “kill dates”.

Further footage showed chicken being retrieved from the floor of the plant and returned to the production line, plus older chicken being mixed with fresher birds. Prof Chris Elliott, a food safety academic from Queen’s University Belfast who led the UK government’s independent review of food systems after the 2013 horsemeat scandal, said he had inspected many food businesses in the past four years and had “never seen one operate under such poor standards” as the video evidence showed.

Look at the date. How many times!

There was an FSA investigation after. Nobody said everything was perfect, it never is. But nothing significant was found.

Why do you constantly talk down something that is brilliant in the UK. No wonder Johnson gets annoyed.

The minor issues found in the UK are as nothing compared to other countries

Let me repeat, the US has TEN TIMES the rates of foodborne illness than the UK. Care to tell me why?

Foodborne illness hits one in six Americans every year, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says, estimating that 48 million people get sick due to one or another of 31 pathogens. About 128,000 people end up in the hospital while 3,000 die annually.

From CNN

Interestingly this is getting worse, not better.

Or perhaps you would like to look at China, man you should see the scale of their problem.

Bear in mind that foodborne illness costs a huge amount to manage. And that burden falls onto the healthcare system. So in the US it's like a tax on people, who pay directly for their own care.

If we end up picking up the financial burden of worse controls in the UK, it will hit us all through the NHS. So in the end we are lining the pockets of American producers through an NHS subsidy.
