This from Wikipedia:

''The subsequent Food Standards Agency investigation report, published 2 March 2018, cleared the business of any serious non-compliances.''

All farmers and slaughterhouses are subject to the same regimes, what is so hard to understand. This is the British food standards rules and why it's so important. So it's not about one farmer.

As I said, it was an external check that appeared to find Salmonella causing a mass cull on the farm of which I was writing. In reality it's unlikely the salmonella originated at the farm, which is frustrating, but better safe than sorry.

Only when it suits your agenda though

I am sorry, I have to say this. You are showing genuine stupidity. Check the dates. The excitable headlines are superseded by the real truth.

OK try this one then

She is involving herself in Trump's involvement. If he hadn't decided to try to encourage Brexit, because it suits his own agenda, then there would not have been any need for a comment from Pelosi.

So she is involved?

Look at the date. How many times!

There was an FSA investigation after. Nobody said everything was perfect, it never is. But nothing significant was found.

Why do you constantly talk down something that is brilliant in the UK. No wonder Johnson gets annoyed.

The minor issues found in the UK are as nothing compared to other countries

Let me repeat, the US has TEN TIMES the rates of foodborne illness than the UK. Care to tell me why?

How right you are

No we don't.

Read my posts, what is so hard for goodness sake?

The apparent issues in 2017 were investigated later that year and the review published in 2018 by the FSA which found little of concern. Surprise surprise, the Press made a fuss in order to sell papers but they didn't really understand - or probably really care about - what they were doing.

''In September 2017, an undercover investigation filmed workers allegedly changing the slaughter dates – and hence the sell-by dates – at a 2 Sisters plant in West Bromwich. The company strenuously denied the allegations.[16][17] Within days, management at the plant decided to suspend production.[18] The subsequent Food Standards Agency investigation report, published 2 March 2018, cleared the business of any serious non-compliances.[19] The CEO of the FSA, Jason Feeney, said: "Our investigation found some areas for improvement but the issues were resolved promptly by the company, who co-operated fully, and at no point did we find it necessary to take formal enforcement action"[20]''

We are not going to be forced to buy U.S meat and will always have other options. Personally I prefer getting my chlorine hit from tap water.

I see you are both desperate to prove Britain is pretty useless. I find that irritating

So let’s look at your ‘facts’. The report from two and a half years ago gives no details on the breaches found or the sizes of the abattoirs. There are still many small abattoirs so you can’t tell the volumes involved. The Scottish E. coli outbreak was at a small historic abattoir. These are closing rapidly.

The ‘falsification’ is a claim by a whistleblower but was it proven? No sign it was but it does make good copy.

Anyone that has worked in a regulated industry knows the regulators look for faults, that’s the whole point. Pennington was around when we set up The Meat Hygiene Service and was pretty unreasonable

In the end the statistics don’t lie. In the US you are in ten times as much danger. Let’s not import their problems, a common refrain on this site.

Are you sure we will. People largely will switch to the cheaper option. That may well drive the quality suppliers out of business. Any that are left after the rapid removal of subsidies as committed to by the Government.

Far from it, it is not me that has been saying Britain can't cope without the EU.
Probably wasn't proven but I wonder how deeply the concerns were looked into?
You may find my opinions irritating, that is your prerogative but at least my children don't hate those people who chose to vote for remain, I believe yours hate those who voted to leave, that is what I find irritating

I would hope that the media and politician pushed narrative that we all stopped being multi faceted people overnight and are now either remainers or brexiteers, is too juvenile even for most children to bother giving much time too.

Indeed one of the pro points of a post Brexit Britain, however this pans out, is that we can move beyond these silly identity tags.

PM to tell Merkel and Macron parliament cannot stop no-deal Brexitr

Boris Johnson will tell Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron this week that parliament cannot stop a no-deal Brexit, Downing Street has said.

During trips to Germany and France, he will tell the leaders "there must be a new deal to replace the failed Brussels deal" - but if one cannot be struck, the UK is prepared to leave the EU on 31 October without an agreement.

However, Number 10 said it expects there to be "very little discussion" of Brexit during the visit to Berlin on Wednesday and Paris on Thursday, with other topics to be the focus.
