Meanwhile Germany is now in recession

Anticipated for a while, manufacturing based economy with exposure to China. Has benefited for a long time from a weak euro, metrics not working for Germany right now. However the integration of East Germany has been quite an achievement - and for the record Angela Merkel is East German.

Name them.

I won't give you the names of my children and grandchildren! I have two daughters, 3 granddaughters and a grandson. My daughters are 54 and 47, their husbands are 54 and 36. My granddaughters are 27, 21 and 13 and my grandson rising 18. That's enough detail.

Another "country"!

That's a protest group. We had them even before we joined the EEC.

People protest and demand referendums on all sorts of things but that doesn't mean their country wants it.

So the minority want a referendum, is that how it now works, the minority get what they want?

I think we are about to see a change of tactics from Remainers.

They will no longer vote against the bill but will instead vote for amendments and against the timetable. That way they can say to the electorate we want a deal but...

1. We need more time.
Well it was the Remainers and Bercow who have been running the clock down. You want more time do what the rest of the UK does when it has a deadline, work late nights and weekends but I doubt you are proposing that.

The Lisbon Treat was passed in 5 days and as much of this bill is the same as May's they only need to focus on the changes.

2. I support the bill I have just a few changes.
These are wrecking amendments pure and simple. The treaty has been agreed with the EU and any significant changes would have to go back through that process assuming the EU was willing to listen. It's also dishonest if you don't like the deal then vote against it.

I suspect that Boris will lose on the timetable and possibly even on the amendments at which point he will withdraw the bill. Remainers can then blame him and vice versa.

Whilst I am annoyed with Parliament and it often seems I am supporting Boris's bill I don't like it and I would prefer a clean Brexit. I just see more fudge and delay.

C'mon Macron you hate the Brits put the boot in you know you want to.

What's your point?

Of course others have family. I have never suggested or thought otherwise!

The only point I have been making is that as the future affects them very much more than it affects us the decision on remaining or leaving ought to be weighted in their interests rather than ours.

If you genuinely believe that by leaving they will have a better future then, whilst I disagree with you, I respect that decision. If however you are voting solely on your own preference then I urge you to think of their's too.

Exactly my point. Some people will look at the economic problems of the EU as a temporary blip but wont accept the same for the UK.

We are in such a stronger position now Germany is in recession, Britain needs to grow a pair and just leave. If we stay Germany and the EU will drag us down any way,
These remoaning traitors are so selfish

Yup just ask the couple of thousand Extinction Rebellion protestors they're far more important than the electorate.

British and staunch leaver, mainly for federal based reasons. Not sure what that has to do with my earlier comment though.
