What overwhelming benefits have we received over the years which justify us staying in? We are a huge net payer rather than receiver into the EU system so what benefits have we had as a country from that relationship? I don’t need an essay response to this, just please tell me what exactly we are going to be missing out on by leaving. This is the information people need to know, but it is talked about very little. Nothing (although I don't trust the Tories to execute this properly e.g. there seem to be some very dodgy agreements already made concerning defense) , but it's becoming clear that the establishment will do their best to reverse this in short order. I don't trust the tories at all especially as the political focus post Brexit *must* switch to immigration and demographics.

IF YOU ALL IGNORED WISBECH HE WOULDN’T BE REPLYING TO ANYONE AFTER HIS USUAL FIRST REPLY LECTURE HE’S POSTED 678 TIMES BEFORE. Ignore Wisbech and he’ll stick to the progressive idyllic countrysiders alliance sites, with several square miles of personal space before they see anyone, let alone a daily problem many have to put up with that is out of sight and out of mind down in perfect Truro. It's much more than just the single market and free movement. It's our security and place in a fast changing world. A world soon to be dominated by China, India etc and not the USA. A Europe threatened by Russian expansionism. In a single word. Peace. Many things can be done better when done together than when done alone. Tackling climate change, protecting the environment, common standards, influencing international developments, developing the economy, negotiating trade deals. In a single word. Progress.

Would you like me to tell you the names of some good estate agents here? There are many nice homes for sale and the prices are significantly lower than in London. There are even real jobs available. No need to be envious. I'll even introduce you to Jane. Tintagel Breweries "Arthur's" is a great ale. You can follow events in London, and elsewhere, just as I do. Through visits, TV and the other media. You won't feel the least bit isolated from your reasons to be unhappy. With FlyBe's future looking secured you can get to London in an hour. They are about to switch back to Gatwick from Heathrow so even better for you. Gotta rush. The dogs (we have two now) want to play on the beach and the sun is out.

Some say it tongue in cheek, but many genuinely believe it, hate visitors and feel they should be a country on their own. On that basis, how does your political persuasion sit with the locals?

The people here are all really lovely, in my own experience anyway. I am sure there is a smattering of nutjobs but I have never encountered them. I play bowls and the club is split between "incomers" and locals and it's very harmonious. Some support the Welsh team on the rugby field, because of the Celtic connection, and some keep Cornish traditions like "Wrasslin" alive. I had to deal with the Town Councillors in Camborne a few years ago. The Council there is run by Mebyon Kernow which believes in Cornish nationalism. I had to make a presentation to them on a building project in the town which proposed quite significant changes. I was concerned on how they would react but they were more than helpful. They were polite, encouraging and supportive. My views on the EU are shared by many here. My local County Councillor, who I know quite well, is an ardent enthusiast for the EU and knows how important their contributions have been to various developments here, and worries greatly what happens next. Not all, of course. As elsewhere it seems most of the older people want Brexit, whilst most of the young don't. As we have a more than usual proportion of the elderly here you can imagine where the balance falls.
