No, I think the tories northern vote is collapsing.

If Corbyn had been elected, by the way, we would have a new agreement and furthermore we would be voting to accept or reject in a new referendum.

Three and a half years of stress still for you leftys then. Basking in the glory.
And if corbyn had been elected abbott would have given us all a million to stay home and this virus would be gone obviously. Maybe the vote collapsing is labours due to andy pandy sacrificing people for 13 % more money. What a guy.

I also have an oven ready deal for me to play up front for Palace next season on 100k a week.

Only thing I need now is for Steve Parish to stop being so stubborn and sign it.

Covid is the best thing that could’ve happened for Brexit - complete distraction and removal of any accountability.

Modern politics in a nutshell - elect one of the worst governments we’ve ever seen and claim it as a win, “bask in the glory” and vote the same failures in again next time round.

Depressing.

Firstly I see little evidence of the Tories northern vote 'collapsing'. The polls have shown Labour catching up and even in one over-taking but I believe they have fallen back again.

And the reality is that due to Covid no polls can be given any real validity. Johnson is not even 1 year into a 5 year term and with a huge majority, is not going anywhere any time soon.

As to your onastic fantasys about a second referendum I suspect we would not have a 'deal'. Essentially Labour would have agreed to agree to anything the EU asked before putting that to us along with the option of Remaining.

Followed by a farce of a vote in the face of an organised boycott along with millions unwilling to pay it any attention. Brexit would not have been sorted, merely elevated to even more division in the country. Or do you honestly think it would settle the issue? Do you think people would just sit back and accept the outcome?

That's a matter of opinion and fortunately either of us could be correct.

Oops. What happened to Boris Johnson's oven ready deal?

He forgot to check whether those who were at the dinner table were likely to want to eat Turkey Twizzlers and gravy with a side of bs.

They are looking for something more sophisticated.

It's Canada plus and would be oven ready if the EU accepted it. However they haven't so we now go with no deal and tell their fishermen to keep out of our waters.

Oh so it was oven ready, except the guy who owns the other half of the oven unfortunately disagreed.

Not oven ready then was it.

You got lied to. I guess Boris should have said it was 50% oven ready.

Not so catchy though eh. Cant put that on a bus.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I think it was a valid comment all the UK asked for was the same as Canada had got plus a few extras.

This deal had been previously offered to Mrs May and she had turned it down. The EU have now decided that they can't or won't offer us this deal.

If they will not budge then there is nothing to negotiate and there fisherman will be out of our waters and probably out of jobs instead of being in them with a reduced catch.

If I was the EU I would recognize the inevitable that it is our sovereign territory and focus on getting the best deal for their fishermen. It is all well and good the Eurocracts drawing a line and saying they will not cross but the're not the ones who will lose their jobs. I bet the fisherman would like them to negotiate.

On the contrary the new EU SURE job support program, massively over-subscribed yesterday, will keep europeans in work and protect living standards.

Whether there is a deal or not, there is bound to be a big shake-out of British jobs, the Chancellors gimmicks will not save them.

Combine that with the pandemic and you have a disaster.

I think fishing is the last of our worries.

All the bitter little Remainers are out today.

I was always in favour of no deal.
