I'm doing alright actually, not that someone's financial situation is relevant here. It's kind of amusing that you take that angle.

You're full of insults and low on analysis. All you have are platitudes and you're presented no alternative vision that can be compared with reality.

You pretend to know our type but from what I've read so far you're just full of yourself and reciting stereotypes from your own head.

You can deal with the points or not. If you just want the insults, fine I'll play.....until I'm bored with you anyway.

Ha. That particular excerpt wasn’t aimed at you. But fine.

Personal finances are relevant as anything else associated with your ‘self’, as it’s a big influence on your personality, social attitudes, experiences and therefore views. They’re relevant to the point I was making, and they’re certainly relevant to the Brexit debate.

I’m entertaining myself by using the commonly used method of exchange on here, simply to provide a counterbalance to mainly his, but sometimes your lack of analysis and insults. And the misdirection. Let’s not get all holier than thou.

I don’t have an alternate vision (also, note, compared with your version of reality) or pretend to be qualified enough to offer one like some on here. That’s why I vote. I do have an opinion though.

I’m also not pretending to know your type. Interesting that you mention that though. See ‘Cod philosophy’ point. I’m seeing how you respond. This will inform whether I’m right about certain things or not.

Most people don’t bother poking your cabal because they get bullied out of it, or ganged up on. When I have the time, and there’s clearly some idiocy occurring, I’ll dive in. Unlike some of you I do have other things to do with my life that are of significantly more value than desperately trying to maintain relevance on a forum.

Interesting post. Also if Hungary and Poland are the only poster boys for nationalism... surely there are better, more prosperous examples? I would say the Swiss but they’re as bland as their cheese and stuffed full of foreign money.

Oh this is going to be good.

Now my analysis is based upon evidence. It's the reason I hold certain opinions. If there is a position I hold that I'm not confident on I'll tell you. Now what exactly about what I've stated are you contesting? Lets see who the 'full of himself' idiot is......or are you just a wind bag who doesn't know what they are talking about?

As for you claiming that a person's financial situation is relevant to the Brexit situation....I'm not sure what the ethics of that point is. So if someone is older or poorer their opinion matters less? That seems to the gist of this line of attack.

That line of reasoning is hardly accepting of democracy and seems to be built upon valuing age and wealth less depending upon your stereotypes.

Well, what I have to say about that is tough tits mate....democracy is about taking the rough with the smooth. Some a particular ideology will win and some it will lose. This country is all of its citizens/subjects. That's the poor, the underclass, middle and upper class....The young and the old. It's a decision that comes from the mix of all of them. No one gets to create different value systems based upon some idea that one section is more important than the other: they all matter....and that's why they all get a vote.

Also it seems that you have the belief that staying in the EU is better...Sure, for some individuals in the short term it might be.....but it is very questionable whether it is for others...This isn't known economically even if the EU survives for the next decade or so. It's a house of cards if ever there was one.....Leaving the EU reduces our economic exposure to its collapse.

So go on....let's hear it.

Japan.

As for his points....just sounds very one eyed to me. The kind of stuff that someone pro immigration would say about an anti immigration government.

Typically he makes out that the Hungarian people are stupid....too dim to understand the wider choices on offer.....as if the examples happening in northern Europe are desirable.....they aren't getting Islamic attacks in Hungary and Poland....and they aren't having their cities being turned into foreign enclaves.

They aren't being told by some foreign group that they aren't diverse enough and that they are racists for wanting to run their own countries......Don't let them in....If they listen to the EU they can kiss goodbye to their country.

Working in Thailand 3 years ago. I know many expats who don't have issues with work permits!

Good grief, the BBC are on a full on project fear attack, it's relentless!!
Where is the British back bone and we can do this attitude. Carney and Osbourne were wrong before but not a mention of that!

They are all on project fear at the moment. Sky news headline was “no deal Brexit leads to economic collapse”. They then go on to clarify that by collapse they mean a 7% drop which is then back to where it was by 2023. So a 4 year collapse and then back to normal. And this is worst case scenario- whilst in no way ideal, it doesn’t seem like the end of the world people are saying it is.

I'm over here.

Your failure to even acknowledge my remarks about corruption could be taken to suggest that you condone it.

As for my saying that Hungarians are stupid, I would counter by saying that if advertising (and it's sinister cousin propaganda) didn't actually work then global ad expenditure would be a bit less than USD 600bn.

Am I stupid for buying a Mars bar or have I been influenced by advertising. Are you stupid for voting leave or have your opinions been formed by exposure to other people's ideas? As have mine.

All these project fear stories are now on the net and recorder for ever. I look forward to them all being shown up as the cowards and british embarrassments of our county.

Really...Well I did refer to your comments against the government. I framed then as one eyed and likely the ramblings of someone anti that government.

As for the legitimacy of what you said, prove it. I suspect what you said is more half truth than balance....But fair enough, I'm listening.

Of course propaganda works.....the important aspect is does it fit in with your idea of how that society should move forward.

All propaganda contains lies from whatever side....Would I prefer it if it contained more truth....Yes.

We are all influenced by ideas. The important analysis is what future do you consider the best for a country. I think your idea of large scale immigration into these countries isn't in their best interests at all.

That judgement hasn't only been made by countries like Hungary or Poland but lots of other countries as well.....The 'no borders' mindset is mainly a European lefty activist one and not popular within most populations.

Of course with the left wing know that these minorities end up voting for them.....And that those votes are pretty much permanent.
