As I have asked before can any of the remain supporters on here confirm that, if there was another referendum (I dont think there will be) and it went the same way would they accept the result?

Well I voted remain and most likely would again but if there's another referendum it will most likely have a sounder information base than the first did and I won't have a problem with the outcome either way. At least we won't be an international comedy show any more.

not sure what qualifies you as a Brexpert unless you've conducted a trade deal yourself

The reality of brexit has certainly hit home in Llanelli with its major employer leaving due to brexit.

No prosperous future there just hanging round on street corners.

And without a brexit ball being bowled yet, haven't even left.

The real world is not waiting on the british parliament, I think it is leaving in droves.

The figures I have apropos the voting intentions of Conservative MPs :

Will oppose the deal : 74
Will probably oppose : 26
Will perhaps oppose : 11

But of course these numbers could change.

If that's the case I hope that Mrs May resigns and calls a General Election.

With luck all of the voters whether Conservative or Labour whose MP is voting tonight against the wishes of the general public will lose and be out of a job and if that results in a complete mess for the next government then so be it.

Politicians need to learn that their job is to carry out the will of the people and if they are unwilling to do that then chuck them out.

My MP will vote for Mrs May's Brexit deal on the basis that his constituents voted to leave so good on him

Subject to TM dishing out more knighthoods, presumably.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

The one flaw being that May's deal isn't really leaving, though.

We would need lots of independent candidates to have any effect or we all know we’re stuck with the same 2 party system, and you won’t get staunch voters voting for the other side anyway. The system is so restricting and frustrating and I can’t help thinking a lot of those against FPTP also voted Brexit.

'Guido brings you a list of Britain’s most hypocritical Brexit MPs. Those who voted for Article 50, but are now determined to stop Brexit, by opposing both no deal, and May’s deal. 123 MPs feature on the list, from Michael Fallon to Kier Starmer, Chuka Umunna to Sarah Wollaston.' [Link]

Blocking Brexit should not be permitted.

The government is of the people and the people have decided.
If elected Politicians do not carry out the will of the people as determined by direct democracy then they should be removed.

Even the public are lying when asked by news programme reporters. Maybe they just don’t know the answers and bullsh1t, and that’s on both sides of the argument. I laugh when the BBC use a less intelligent member of the public but only as one of the several Brexit voters asked. There’s plenty of stupid remain voters, but they’ll be edited out as if there aren’t any.

Not to mention making sure that all the pro EU demonstrations are in camera shot.
