Have never professed to being a Brexpert! but I have watched the way Juncker and Barnier have behaved and to me they sum up the EU. I have had close dealings with certain aspects of EU law and they certainly dont look after the interests of the British people, which is my concern. Sorry if you don't agree or like that attitude. Having said that if remain had won I would have accepted the result unlike many on the remain side.

If that's the case I hope that Mrs May resigns and calls a General Election.

With luck all of the voters whether Conservative or Labour whose MP is voting tonight against the wishes of the general public will lose and be out of a job and if that results in a complete mess for the next government then so be it.

Politicians need to learn that their job is to carry out the will of the people and if they are unwilling to do that then chuck them out.

My MP will vote for Mrs May's Brexit deal on the basis that his constituents voted to leave so good on him

Couldn't agree more. MPs like Dominic Grieve should be de-selected, his constituents voted to leave.
Having said that ME not sure May's deal is entirely what the people voted for but if it fails I can see Brexit not happening. Trouble on streets then perhaps?

Not to mention making sure that all the pro EU demonstrations are in camera shot.

I have often wondered who they are. Do they not have jobs? Surely in the EU utopia that can't be the case.
Are they actually being paid to be there?

OK we get all that, it's just that your messages are just anti EU sentiment which is all we ever hear on the leave side. If you've won the argumennt, why the need to keep banging that drum? The pre brexit debate has been and gone, Brexit is happening right now and soon we face a new dawn.

What I can never get is that people on the leave side are so adamant we should leave yet cannot talk about the positive stuff of how we will benefit after March 29th. Just a load of pointless mud slinging

Had a big reply cued up, was about to send it, but then I realised... what's the point?

People like you are determined to re-fight the referendum. People like you are determined to place al many procedural blocks in the way of enacting this decisive vote. People like you desperately try to claim democratic and demographic legitimacy to justify overturning the result. This is why we "bang the drum".

Go back and re-read my posts prior and post referendum result on this thread. Our relationship with the EU has not changed with respect to our international obligations. Therefore all the points remain valid, and I stand by them all. You will find plenty of "positive stuff" therein, you just can't read it with your blinkers on, nor can you hear it with your fingers in your ears.

I now regret my brief foray back into this thread, so I'll take my leave again and watch, ever so infrequently, from afar.

And Parliament is awash with remainers who will vote against the deal as a tactic to try and force another referendum. They are not interested in ANY deal, they would vote down every deal. And the Labour Party would also vote down ANY deal for party political purposes, not in the interests of the country.

For avoidance of doubt I am an ERG type Brexiteer who doesn't support the deal.

If they get their way we should place them all in the stocks and pelt them with eggs.

Other than the odd true gentleman like Sir Bill Cash all I hear trying to follow this discussion today is an entirely Brexit dismissive word salad.

It also occurred to me how the Scottish can not only get their own parliament but field their own nationalist party when any idea of a British nationalist party would be met with cry’s of racism and xenophobia all around. Good luck to them though.

A Mainstream British nationalist party is exactly what we need. I’m hoping that For Britain can achieve that. If they don’t someone will.

I know you are saying this in a humorous way but maybe there will be those who see direct action as a reasonable response.

If Brexit is not realised then Parliament no longer represents democracy or the people.

Perhaps the French have taken the lead for once.

Perhaps Neil Warnock would like to pop in to Llanelli and explain his brexit comments to them, it would be interesting to see their response.

Hopefully Cardiff FC will crash out of the PL as well with him in the driving seat.

TBF I read Dave's post (in reply to a post about brexit damaging llanelli) as a pointer to the fact that not all is great in the EU either and instead of rushing to blame brexit there's more evidence that a global slowdown is afoot.

That's how I read it anyway
