Soz, couldn't resist.

How long has fiat currency been in circulation? How long have the ‘elite’ made sure they’re always in the driving seat, even when it appears that the chips are down? Centuries. Millennia. Chicken Little might be your god, but the second coming ain’t happening anytime soon, no matter what that sandwich board around your torso says.

Absolute misinterpretation merchant.

Just for clarification, this isn’t actually strictly true.

It’s getting into the weeds of trade economics a little bit, but the Marshall-Lerner identity only holds in the long run. In the short run, weak Sterling will almost always increase the size of the deficit (look into the J-curve for an explanation of why). In the long run, the theory goes, the J completes and export value goes up - ceteris paribus. If, however, Sterling has depreciated because of (amongst other things) the anticipation of higher barriers in the future, the trade deficit might always be unambiguously worse.

Not digging you out but this is a mistake that I keep seeing go uncorrected, even in supposedly well-informed discussions.

Some actual facts. Good to know

Deal or no deal brexit and the consequences especially if they are severe will only obliterate British society as it is. I think it will polarise current British society completely fuelling a rise in nationalism and by nationalism I don't mean the stereotypical skin-head chavvy NF types. Nationalism along with other severe consequences of brexit will require Britons to become resolute and determined. It will create a seige island mentality. As someone I heard on the radio commented that "brexit will allow Britons to clear up and clean up Britain"

Absolute misinterpretation merchant.

1. The latest since 1971.
2. There have been many throughout history.
3. Making people aware of the inherent inflation fiat-currencies bring is hardly ''misinterpretation''.

Now, cluck cluck cluck-off

Who is going to explain to me why Honda leaving the UK doesn't matter please.

This is what Lord Sugar thinks

And of course, Swindon and Wilts also voted Leave. So in some way it must have been in their interests, as they certainly weren't mis-directed (see above, and above, and above ...).

I can see you are struggling here Stirling

Here is a little helping hand. The data I have seen on ethnicity and income is a bit dated but I can provide it as well if that helps

with the exception of the Indian ethnic group, people from an ethnic minority were more likely than White British people to live in the most deprived 10% of neighbourhoods in England

pakistani and Bangladeshi people were over 3 times more likely than White British people to live in the most deprived 10% of neighbourhoods in England

pakistani and Bangladeshi people were also over 3 times more likely than White British people to live in the most income-deprived neighbourhoods, and pakistani people were more than twice as likely as White British people to live in the most employment-deprived areas

Indian people were least likely to be living in both the most deprived 10% of neighbourhoods in England and the most employment-deprived neighbourhoods

White British people were least likely to be living in the most income-deprived neighbourhoods of England

Just proves what we all know already. Indians generally don't waste time whining, committing street crime or letting their religion get in the way of personal progress. They get smart and get going.

A shame all immigrants don't follow suit.

And there I was thinking all the data tell you is that Indians tend to have jobs and tend not to live in deprived areas.

If Brexit is the reason then why is Honda not relocating to the EU? Instead all production will be based in Japan.

As I have repeatedly said the top car manufacturers are all in trouble with over capacity and declining sales partly due to a slow down in the world economy and partly as no one wants diesel engines any more.
