But why are we getting angry about the vote not being carried out and not the social injustices you speak of?

Like the French?

Brexit is a convenient distraction for this Tory government where otherwise they would be under serious scrutiny for the austerity cuts, like the crime explosion and poverty. The only people angry about the brexit vote are those that buy into the idea that the EU is the root of our problems. The Tories are happy with that, that's why they are happy to drag it out as long as necessary

Yeah, because Brexit is making the Tories look so good.

Keep off the drugs.

Say no more.

You really are an ostrich. There’s racism from all races if that’s what you want to call it.

Incidents of racism? You’re either talking about the twisting of words said or typed, pointless accusations of cultural appropriation from the hypocrite Diane Abbott of all people or small amounts of physical incidents, possibly because there’s been too much immigration and segregated, isolated communities.

You are just the type of person who moves out of London in their 30’s because it’s okay for others but not for them. You aren’t related to Kermit and DanH are you? At least Gusset stayed in the white suburbs with a sprinkling of ethnic minorities stays loyal to his word.

Yesterday I complimented a Remain politician for the measured and well argued way he put his case for a 2nd Referendum.

Today for balance I give you David Lammy, apparently us Leavers are in bed with the Nazis.

With pp constantly bleating on about racism a thought occured to me.
If the ethnic proportion of individuals within our community is growing then general assaults and fights and trouble between people will include more and more of the non white population.
It doesnt necessarily mean its racist.
Its surely the law of averages.

I know which one of these Nazis I wouldn't mind finding myself in bed with.

That's common sense, but we are talking idealists and politicians here.....so common sense is pretty patchy at best.

Politicians aren't interested in reality, they are interested in their careers.......and idealists prefer ideas to reality.

Yes I saw that. He has truly lost the plot and I hate to say this but has the chip of all chips on his shoulder.

Soldiers also died protecting themselves and their country from being controlled by an outside force that wouldn’t allow Britain to control itself. He is so out of touch and consumed with fighting for people in his own constituency that have to turn to crime and violence according to him that he’s gone blind.

He isn’t worth listening to with his apoplectic outbursts and neither is Diane Abbott. There’s surely some better black people in politics, or do they see that it’s not worth being involved in if you’re intelligent enough to earn well elsewhere, and why we get these poor excuses as token black politicians?

Not forgetting his claim that a million Indian soldiers died in WW 2 fighting for the European project.
He is also the intellectual giant who thought the married name of Pierre and Marie who won the Nobel prize in 1903 for their research into radiation was Antoinette and that the blue cheese often served with port is Red Leicester.

He said comparison to Nazis was "not strong enough", irrepective of your politics or position on leaving the EU, that's quite something - worse than Hitler's pursuit of a master race.

Do you have a link to what was actually said by Lammy, not a snippet after it?

Not that I don’t trust JRM to be objective by the way

Anyone able to tell me how many Indian soldiers (excluding those that fought for the Japanese) of the 2.5m that served in WW2 did in fact die?

It was played on LBC this morning I am sure if you google it you can find it. I made no claims about what Lammy said beyond the contrast between what the BBC reported and my post of the previous day about a well argued Remainer. The Indian soldiers comment wasn't me.

Personally I think Lammy is not helping his side.
