I list over 20 people or groups and you come back with individual responses to 1 or 2 of them. There is such a thing as Trump Derangement Syndrome. Something else I have noticed is Brexit Derangement Syndrome. People who suffer from that think every single person who warns against it is disingenuous and has nefarious ulterior motives. A BDS sufferer can never accept a single criticism or possible downside of Brexit. I think the head of the National Union of farmers is warning against a no deal crash out of the EU as it will be a catastrophe for the farming industry.

Yet Farmers in the South West voted for Brexit invery large numbers - mainly because they see this as an opportunity to escape from the rigidity of EU 'box ticking', as this article explains.....

Agreed it's a publicity stunt. If you have the money and this chap crowd funded it so he will get his day in court. "Someone is guilty of the offence if a prosecution can prove that the official wilfully neglected to perform their duty - or "misconducts" themselves - to such a degree that it amounts to an abuse of the public's trust in the office holder" I would imagine that Boris will say his comments were an opinion not misconduct. If he is guilty then the same applies to most politicians of all parties who spin facts. The £350 million per week claim does not recognise that some of that money comes back to the UK as a rebate. Boris will argue his point was that the rebate comes with strings attached and that having left the EU we can decide 100% how that money is spent.

There's counter examples and opinions to those that you list. The majority of Brexiters who gave it proper thought accept that there will be some negative consequences of leaving, but cam to the conclusion that overall, leaving is the correct thing to do. No one has ever said it will be perfect. There's no need to strawman.

Think you need a subscription to the FT to access that link, Becky. I think many farmers didn’t vote for a no deal exit, they voted for a managed exit. The head of the national farmers union is very clear on her grave concerns about the disaster of a no deal exit for the entire industry.
