Precisely.

I expect most Leavers want what they were promised by the Leave campaign.
Control of law and European migrant numbers and with the freedom to trade with whomever they please.

Are you suggesting that a Brexit which is virtually the same or worse than remaining is acceptable?

Two things that i’ve really learned from recent events:

1. Trust in “experts” and institutions is completely misplaced apart from very few circumstances e.g. doctors that have no conflict of interest
2. Duplicitous little s***s like Rory Stewart can f*** off

With each twist and turn we're still no further forward in knowing what comes next.

Both of these things could have been controlled without leaving the EU.

I asked my GP last week if my medication would still be available after the 31st October and he told me he couldn't say either way. There you go, no conflict of interest, admitting that the situation is unknown. I find that quite scary.

How? We are bound by European rules.

EU Directive 2004/38/EC

“Where admission is permitted, an EU citizen may remain in the UK for up to three months from the date of entry, provided they do not become a burden on the social assistance system of the UK.

If an EU citizen does not meet one of the requirements for residence set out in the Directive [employed, self-employed, self-sufficient, student] then they will not have a right to reside in the UK and may be removed.”

The UK is free to implement this policy as it sees fit, and yet it does not, while other countries – including Belgium and Italy – use this legislation to repatriate thousands of EU migrants each year.

Why would my GP try 'scaremongering' when asked a direct question about my medication ? How do you know how he voted in the referendum ? To even suggest that is absurd.

Project Ignorance at its finest.

We have always had a sovereign parliament. We have always been able to implement our own laws. EU regulation is a completely different thing.

Do you think it is good for our democracy in either of the short, medium or long term to have a Parilament, in which 80% of the votes were casts for parties pledging to honour the 2016 result, and on the back of a huge majority agreeing to commence the A50 process, and which has failed to do so? We should be out of the EU. Parliament stopped that from happening.

Democracy is always good when it operates correctly, as it is now. That it has produced a huge mess is just the price we pay and it's a price worth paying to avoid the alternative. The alternative being of establishing the precedent of the executive getting their own way in the face of Parliament's disapproval, for down that road lies the possibility of things that neither of us would want. That you think we "should be out of the EU" does not mean that we should be. It's just your appraisal of the situation.

Boris Johnson, for all his many and varied faults, wants to go back to the country for a new mandate. Why is that not happening now? What possible justification is there for Parliament not to put itself back to the people and tell it that is has changed its mind?

He is not alone but Parliament has to assess priorities and stopping what they regard as a wrong move comes first, in their opinion, and it's their opinion which is paramount. There will be a GE of that I am quite sure.

I think we can both agree a second referendum with Remain on the ballot paper achieves nothing than even more divison and derison. Therefore a GE is the only way forward.

I don't want a referendum. I want a Parliament presented with a negotiated deal to leave and then given a free, secret, vote on whether it is acceptable. We go on striving to find that until we do.

If you have so much respect for our Parliamentarians then what is there to fear from another election? The current government has lost its majority, there is no evidence that anybody else could form a working Government so why are we not in the midst of an election campaign now?

Why on earth do you think I fear a GE? It just has to be held at the right time and in the right way, decided by Parliament and not by a government manipulating the timing for their own purposes. This is all about the supremacy of Parliament over the executive, despite the attempts by Johnson and others to portray it as Parliament v the people.

'I expect'. Also again with the word promise. How you can hate the establishment then buy their drivel hook line and sinker? Makes no sense. Also is that an admission that the leave campaign was run on, how shall we say, exaggerated or spurious claims for the sake of political ambition? If the answer is yes, then again, why are you surprised.

Public polls indicate that no-deal is not something favoured by the majority. The leave vote was split into several different camps over 'why'. So I have to disagree with the opening paragraph.

I'd take one that allows us to implement an Australian style immigration system and allows us to trade with countries outside of the EU. That does not have to be a No deal. This will mean we have worse deals in place with EU countries, which is a byproduct of leaving, but we'll just have to see what happens with that one.

I see no reason why it is impossible to get the above as a negotiated deal, to me it's people calling for no deal who seem to be the most negative and partisan and have given up on the powers of negotiating and waiting until the last minute, simply for the sake of rabid purpose.

It's about faith for these people now, not objectivity. Polarised debate creates religious attitudes and has done on both sides and I for one have no time for it. Just like religion.

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.
