Brexit is the political equivalent of the Heysel Stadium ban - we will descend to our default little Englander incompetence, get massively outclassed by Europe and start crying to get back in - but this time it won't take five years. And when a few big multi nationals leave taking jobs with them and inflation hits the shops because of import restrictions it will be a such a surprise - not. But some of you might wake up.

One day perhaps you will come to understand that forecasts are NOT guesswork.

Weather forecasters don't guess. They use data to calculate probable outcomes.

Economic forecasters work in exactly the same way.

Weather forecasts can be wrong but the data is a lot better these days and the computer modelling very sophisticated. So they are pretty good.

Economic forecasts also have access to good data and great computers. When they all point in the same direction, even when the data is varied considerably, I tend to think they are likely to be correct.

I hope you like humble pie because a whole box full will be coming your way.

They will go on telling everyone that it had nothing to do with economics and only "taking back control" mattered, that we might all be poor and relying on our grandchildren working abroad and sending back remittances to put food on the tables of our unheated homes, but at least we will be free of those b*stards in Brussels.

The EU will suffer from the US-China deal.
The EU is and always has been a financial crock.

Companies come & go. It's called business. As for the 100% part No of course not. In much the same way as you can't say 100% its going too happen.
