Because people who have horrific far-right views thought they had 'won' with the referendum and now feel a bit more emboldened.

If you are wondering why disabled or others not so obvious are more targeted now than perhaps a year or so ago then I suggest you look at the demographic of victims at Auschwitz and what far-right violent nutters are capable of. It wasn't just Jewish people.
