Current 'hate crimes' practice means anyone, anywhere, can report something they either experienced or witnessed, anonymously if they like. No evidence is needed. Everything is instantly logged as a hate incident. The figures resulting from this absurdity are worthless.

You keep changing the argument! The rise in hate crime is specifically about Brexit UK, you said. For example, mean tweets are now included under the 'hate crime' stats. There are now police departments set up to register all of these. Part of the reason for the rise. And just for the record, I am against any kind of racist, homophobic, disability abuse.
