I can see Bubbs point too. However, to basically say that it is all media hype seems rather extreme (ironically enough). Then to infer that only he has the answers bacause he calims to read the news in a foreign language is rather arrogant and does not inspire much confidence in his honesty or the integrity of his opinion.

If he is so certain that what is going on is wrong, he should tell us all exactly how the whole problem should be dealt with.

That's a pretty resonable request?

Most people here think Fox News is a joke (as was discussed in a previous post on this subject). Also, not everyone gets the channel either. So to base your opinion on what is a spurious notion in the first place seems rather foolish.

Do you think it's right that children have to take part in religious activities when they are too young to know why?
I appreciate religion is important to some people and I've no problem with that unless it's in my face, although I find the whole concept of religion quite bizarre. It causes more conflict in the world than anything else.

I don't believe that RE as taught in most schools would harbour or try to develop such fundamentalist views as would create future terrorists.

The only place this happens is in schools/establishments run outside the national curriculum.

I personally feel that people should be asked to adapt more to the country's culture than the country adhere to every whim and demand made by minorities. To that end the media have so much to answer for in that they give a disproportionately loud voice to these comparatively small groups.

It annoys me greatly that minorities get such special treatment when the return on such investment is minimal. Whereas funding elsewhere could have much greater monetary and social benefits.

Also why do we have so many Scottish MP's? They've got their own parliament now. The English can't vote for Scottish policy but the Scottish can vote on English W.T.F!!!

You know full well that's an invalid argument. The examples you've given were conquests. What is happening now is entirely different. These people are here because this country has given them sanctuary from some kind of alleged 'persecution', most of which is seriously doubtful anyway. The point that most people are making is that many are here under false pretences, are involved to some degree in crime, and/or have views that are seditious in nature. This makes it difficult for the few who are indeed here legitimately but the threat of terrorism from within is a very real one and, unfortunately, it's people of their appearance/persuasion who are the likely perpetrators. The credentials of all people in this category must be thoroughly re-examined (if they ever were scrutinised in the first place, which seems to be more unlikely) and those who do not fulfil very strict criteria must be rooted out and removed.
