Attacking midfield to give Punch some competition - can Pards get Ben Arfa

Upfront of all the rumours I like Michy Batshuayi best
with the possibility of Dafoe on the bench. I am hopeful for Connor but worried about his injuries. We need to spend big on a striker.

We may have to sell Cabaye and Bolasie but I hope not as both are very difficult to replace in our position

I agree with these plus a goalie. We need to strengthen straight along the spine of the team, a goalie with PL experience, a decent CB willing to bring the ball out of defence, an attacking fast centre midfield player willing to get into the box and a fast striker who can also get into dangerous positions within the box. These should cost about £40 miilion and not be competing with our squad but first teamers, get rid of the deadwood and we should have a very decent improved squad.

Bournemouth won't go down and they have money. I doubt they are a team we can raid even if we survive.

Also, are any of the players mentioned French speaking?

Really? This man is Swansea and Welsh to the core. He will finish his career at Swansea.

People picking too many foreigners, particularly southern Europe Africa and south America.

There's a reason a lot of these very talented players are in a relegation battle.

I would want a predominantly British/Irish squad with a few northern Europeans. They have always seemed to do better and find it easier to settle.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Don't we have a predominantly British / Irish squad with a few northern Europeans and aren't we facing a relegation battle? Don't think the nationality of players has anything to do with whether they are any good.

OK if we are going to look at other teams then would you say that Mata, Oscar, Toure (Yaya), Silva, Aguero, Suarez, Willian, Sanchez, to name a few have struggled to settle in the Prem? I'm not saying we are in for players of that quality but I don't really see any evidence that nationality is a factor in whether people do well. It's about whether they are good footballers or not and fit in at a club and with a manager.

Definitely, and I'd say Mitrovic from Newcastle would not be a bad buy if they go down. John Jo Shelvey if Jedi goes, maybe.

If Norwich go down, John Ruddy would be the first player I'd go for, maybe with McCarthy as a makeweight. Top goal keeper and unlikely to get much of a sniff from the big teams next season.

Teams have already started planning for next season in terms of possible transfers because they know what division they are playing in, but we still don't know if we will be in the PL or in the Championship. It goes without saying that there is a different market dependant on the division. And in our cae there might even be a different manager in situ if we go down. All very uncertain at the present time, thanks to our horrendous run of results.
