I suppose bcos of cash in hand non-payment is dealt with according to summary justice instead of legal action, and it may apply to most independent traders or tradesmen, but through experience I associate that exaggerated idea of 'having a few mates who can sort you out if you cross me' with plumbers. In fact it may be a medical condition: plumbers syndrome, a two-bob tradesman who thinks he's the godfather. Am I alone with this point of view? I'm not a snob btw, just never got on that well with plumbers.

Plumbers, like mechanics, do have the advantage of having spanners to hand.

You've got to solder on Superfly... otherwise you'll be in a state of flux.

Relax and have a joint mate (not plumber's mate)

Problem is,like mechanics, they can spout any old sh*te as to the problem and you have no idea if you're being shafted or not.
My nephew spurned the chance to go to uni.He said "why should I finish my education owing 20k,when I can learn a trade and earn from day one?"
Hard to argue with!

Well, being a plumber has got to be better than being a copper or a brass. For some it's lead to them being pretty flush. You have to tap into a good thread of money.

My cousin Adrian used to go out with a lady plumber.

He went off her. In fact after a while our Ady hate her.
