Yep, that's where I got it from - Does that somehow entail that its somehow wrong or incorrect - Or that you're just deflecting? Either way, there is the nub your asking about. Yes, it could be a crime. Yes, tweets are admissible in court and no, it doesn't require a complaint. I wonder why you feel the need to portray yourself as an expert on everything.

But he didn't just make a stupid remark did he. He then decided to put it out there on Twitter. Not only did he abuse an innocent passer by who was a lone woman, he then tried to belittle her on social media. Maybe had he picked on a six foot bloke I wouldn't feel the same. That is why I think he is a jumped up bully and why I don't like it that he is from Croydon and a Palace fan. I really don't want anyone to think he is reflective of our area and our fan base. It's all pretty simple. I am surprised others aren't also p*ssed off, or maybe they don't fancy posting on this thread due to the vehemence of the responses. That's good. Blame 'vehemence of posts'. I think its weird that you are turning this into a class war thing.

And you have just confirmed it again above. If you fail to see why the majority of people see this as a waste of Police time, then that is your issue, because the opinion has been pretty consistent from a number of posters.

When did I say I don't see it as a waste of Police time. I seem to recall I said the Police response was flawed, no surprise there given my history with them. I did not portray this as a class issue. I indicated that if you have all of the advantages of a public school education I would hope you have also learned the lessons of responsibility and politeness. Public schools do try hard to embed a feeling of duty, Matthew appears to have been a failure. My strength of opinion would not waiver no matter who was involved. I may guess that this particular individual has a feeling of entitlement and that is an element of why he has acted in this way. But I would feel just as strongly had anyone abused a woman on our streets. Especially when they are then linked to my home town and my beloved club. Edited by Mapletree (26 Mar 2016 7.27pm)

Edited by Mapletree (26 Mar 2016 7.27pm) Good bit of twisting Maple, however I simply don't buy it. Why are you not commenting on what appears to be a brilliant response by the woman? She put the bellend down and then went about her business. That to me speaks volumes.

It hardly speaks volumes. Quite probably not a put down, you just read that through your own lens. You are so used to your own put-downs you impute them where they don't exist. When you say she just went about her business, you don't actually know that. She could have gone off to the BHS cafe and wept just as easily. Or kicked the cat. Or shrugged it off. Who knows. It remains a nasty, mean thing to do by Mr Matthew Doyle, presumably now unemployed (again). Didn't get paid when he got the sack from his last job either.

Calm down dear, he's not worth it.
