I thought I'd give this a try as there's no harm. I've recently left the armed forces after 4 years service. Preferably I'd like to find a business owner who will teach me what he knows whilst working for him. Message me on samuel.carey@hotmail.com if and I'll send you my cv ect.

There was that tv documentary on about jobs for ex-forces. Have you seen it?

Have you googled extensively for companies that help or offer jobs or work experience?

There is one construction company I know that trains ex-forces to be site managers and higher if they progress. It sounds like they like their discipline, confidence and assertiveness which you'll need in that line of work. Luckily for you they're based in Kent and get contracts in Kent, Sussex, Surrey Telephone 01227 826600. Even if its not for you or they don't have anything now, they may have advice or pass you onto some of their ex-forces who go back to Falklands I believe.

Try securityclearedjobs.com they have a lot of work and if your ex-forces, you'll appeal to a lot of the employers there because you'll either have security clearance or are almost guaranteed to find work. I work with a lot of ex-Forces people many of whom found careers post military through the agencies that advertise there.

Good luck with your search, great initiative.

Beware though if you get an email from a C.Funt claiming to be a modelling agency executive.

Seriously though, good luck.

Wouldn't wish the job as it is on my worstest enemy!

Remember the millions spent on recruiting ex forces into teaching. Very successful, 9 (yes nine) people in total are now teachers.

Good luck mate, people don't fully appreciate the transition into the 'real world' can be a tough, daunting place.

It could be handy to say a bit more about your work experiences and where your expertise lie, so that a few people may have a better idea if you suit them.

Again, good luck.
