Exactly Hoof. If you have the time and interest you can spend that on the cat. Personally I can think of better ways to spend my time and/or cash. All I would add is that if you are going to move the cat on, take it to a sanctuary where it won't be in danger of being put down, and warn them of the cat's behaviours so some unsuspecting new owner doesn't get lumbered and is aware of what they're taking on.

I recommend you find a supplier that comes recommended, with previous history of excellent and reliable supply and outstanding cleanliness. I have had cats almost all my adult life and the only problem encountered was with one that had an intestinal condition that resulted in the odd accident. Proper care also involves a measure of interaction with the animal, just like dog ownership does, but many people don`t understand this. Your cat can be made to become a worthwhile pet no matter what its behaviour is like now. Go on you tube and search for Jackson Galaxy, a renown cat expert. The solution to virtually any cat behaviour problem can be found among his stuff there. Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link]
