Newcastle's forum is a cracking read at the moment, in particular their Player Ratings thread.

This one in particular had me in stitches:

Taylor - 0 f***ing hell. Last time I ever want to see him play for us. Shocking. Simpsonesque levels of dropping off, no balls to make a challenge and his constant finger pointing infuriates me. I feel like the only reason he does it to try to take the heat off his own s*** performance by berating others. Is that irrational? Probably. **** him. His attempt at defending for their first goal has to be up there with the s***test things I have ever seen in my life in any regard, not just football. I honestly could have played better than him today and I am a terrible footballer.

My favorite is this one:

Janmaat - 1. Coward. Did a Guthrie pretending to be injured.

Especially since he is out injured this week against Swansea. Another howler from Newcastle Delusional United.

I used to love watching the way Newcastle played in years gone by and would generally want them to do well but that changed with the shambolic treatment of AP by a significant proportion of their fans. They basically hounded him out from the moment he got there, it was vindictive and nasty. I want them to go down.

Sunderland or Norwich I don't care so much about...

Surely this will now be relegation for Newcastle and Norwich.

I can't believe how little effort they put in against Villa, who weren't really trying that hard. Newcastle were just plain s**t, except maybe for Townsend, and Mitrovic, they looked like a team that had won the league and decided to coast into the close of season, not a team facing relegation (meanwhile Leicester looked like a team that needed 3pts against Everton).

Norwich probably doomed now as well. I thought they defended well, but looked less likely to score than a tramp in a high class brothel.

I fancy Sunderland to beat Everton on Wednesday and seal the deal. Can't see Newcastle beating Spurs.

Sunderland will win Wednesday and that's that all down and dusted. Of Sunderland or Newcastle, Sunderland is the better one to stay up. Fat Sam will only ever take them so far but Rafa could have really done something at Newcastle given a pre-season.

I'm already looking for 3 teams to finish above. pessimistic maybe.

It all depends on Wednesday night's SAFC v EFC match. As far as NDUFC and Spurs, I'm not so sure now that Spuds are falling apart and showing no discipline.

So its looking like to Toon is it....good.

Any club that puts McClaren in charge needs its head examined.

Rafa is a superb manager but he cant revive rotting corpses of clubs....

I not only hope they go down but stay down a few seasons to learn some f***ing humility

Sunderland's last 6 Home league games :
W2 D3 L1

Everton's last 6 Away league games :
W1 D2 L3.

Agree but I'm still hoping that Norwich pull it out the bag and NUFC are joined by Sunderland.

Scummy little limpet club that have offered nothing to this league in years. Huge off field problems ingrained with the culture of the club that can only be sorted by a mass exodus.

Oh yes that would be superb if Norwich could do it but I don't think they will...I was hoping for a Norwich draw and Sunderland and Newcastle defeats this weekend

I hope Norwich survive, albeit I don't think they will. Primarily because it's a lot easier for the away game

Indeed !

And I could once again book myself into the 'Holiday Inn' which is the white building in the corner of the ground and where in some rooms one has a view of the pitch !

I am informed that the Holiday Inn in Norwich was completed in 2007 at a cost of £9m

It is situated between the Jarrold Stand and the Barclay End, offers 150 air-conditioned bedrooms, a restaurant and bar, a fitness suite, a meeting room for up to 20 delegates, wi-fi internet access in all public areas and complementary car parking.

But for football fans, the main advantage is that the 72 rooms at the back of the hotel have a view of the pitch.
