No they wouldn't.

Even if your wildly inaccurate claim bore any semblance to fact, it would be because the Provo's came to the negotiating table and largely ( even you can't deny) stopped bombing the bollocks off the mainland.

The difference between the two sets of religious idiots is the Islamic terrorist doesn't want to negotiate, they believe that there way is the only way and that any one else should be eradicated. The Provo's had one target with a sub division English people or establishment with the sub division or Irish loyalists. Islamic terrorists want to burn the f***in world of everyone who doesnt worship their brand of sky fairy.

To compare the two groups is to be frank stupid.

Depends what you mean by Islamist terrorist. Certainly groups like Hezbollah and Hamas, aren't incapable of negotiating with - Even the Taliban pre-2001 were negotiating deals with the US. Same with some of the Kurdish groups and Chechyan.

IS, Al-Qaeda and Boko Harem, probably not, there isn't really anything we could compromise on, that they would accept anyhow.

We were comparing incarcerated numbers not thought processes. 428 terrorists, including 143 serving life sentences, were released between 1998-2000 after the Agreement. More than today's amount of jailed terrorists who are nearly all Wahhabis.

I want to see a follow up series- 'What British Working Class White Men Think." I suspect you will get some equally unsavoury and nasty views. Ironically, they'd probably agree with extremist views on homosexuality, amongst other things! Maybe that's the way to seek common ground?

I watched it- typically scaremongering, but somewhat interesting. Essentially, there are more than a few nutjobs in Muslim communities (or at least in the sample...). So... just like every other demographic in the UK then!

I'm sure the EU Out camp will make full use of it!

I don't think you'd get the results you're hinting at. Who really gives a fark whether someone is gay or not or whether a woman is their boss? I don't know anyone who thinks like that. Certainly not my generation i.e. mid 30s.

Nearly 20 years ago before 2001 I did legitimate business with some middle aged Muslims in a Muslim only area. I didn't feel vulnerable but I did feel it wasn't an area I should or would want to live, and that includes the best areas with the new cars parked outside. Because of that experience I was sceptical about the programme.

When watching it we were constantly reminded of what Muslims in Britain think, although if you communicate with Muslims away form the ghettoised areas mentioned in the program, you'll sense a 'what people do in their own time is their business' attitude and the only difference will be alcohol, attitudes to sex or the media's presentation of sex.

Never before I think have we seen a minority choose to remain isolated but then complain about it at the same time. I know Bradford have made efforts to integrate people whilst they still remain parted by invisible boundaries and the Oldham schools that closed to build 1 large White British/Musilm school but I bet people would prefer to just move away, for the isolationism to continue and grow.

The people living in these Muslim areas should learn something from immigrants before them. Black, Hindu, Sikh, any Asian, Muslims living in white or multi-cultural areas who have dropped being a Muslim before being an individual approach to life which holds them and everyone back. But they don't want to, or their elders enforce not to. It doesn't take much to imagine the onslaught you'd get if you said that in public, just listen to Yasmin Alibhai-Brown's abuse. Just try blending in with the rest of us for 40 hours a week and see how much better life can be.

I wasn't worried about the programme in what British Muslims thought but I was and am still concerned for everyone about the growth of Muslim only areas and for the people living on the boundaries, and it sometimes crosses my mind when going into a busy area of what could happen.

There's all the old sods who spend their lives down the boozer or watching football waiting for their wives to do dinner but there is still ambiguity surrounding who really wears the trousers. They probably throw the word p***ter or queer around and use racial epithets but they're not going to blow anyone up.

I'm not defending these attitudes but in the eyes of many, these people might as well be throwing homosexuals off buildings like ISIS. There's the distinction if it wasn't glaringly obvious.

That t1t on what looked like the Edgware Rd would come close to me either pointing him in the direction Heathrow airport or turning his tables over and giving him swift kick to the chin so he can catch up on some much needed kip instead of staying up all night being brain washed by rich sponsors of this hatred far away from the firing line and suicide vests.

All the white people walking past were trying not to p1ss themselves laughing at him. Talk about taking the easy way out of actually doing something in your 20's.

True, but then there are also the people who'll beat the s**t out someone because they're gay. F**k those c**ts, to me that's a form of terrorism.

Having read through this thread - yes perhaps I should get out more! - I can only conclude that many of those expressing opinions did not actually watch the titled programme. If they did then many are so blinkered by their political/religious/anti-religious views to see or appreciate the bigger picture which was the main point of the programme.
Many - not all but many - migrants and children of migrants from Muslim cultures do not only not wish to assimilate into mainstream British culture but are actively working to create effectively a state within a state. Further a sizeable minority wish ultimately to impose Muslim beliefs and law on the non-Muslim majority. Multi culturism has allowed this minority view to grow in size and influence. Unless challenged and addressed we are sleep walking into bigger future problems. That was the crux of the programme.
