Watching the Wet Spam v Moan Utd game the other day gave me a though about our current GK situation - what about WH's 'cup' goalkeeper Darren Randolph? He's only 28 but every time I've seen him play in the cup games he's played a blinder, seems to be highly rated by spammers fans but Adrian is the clear first choice for them. Could he be tempted to leave for guaranteed first team football next season?

My (future) Mrs is a Birmingham fan. I thought he was a big loss for Brum when he left. Not seen a lot from him in the Prem but I did rate him as a Championship goalie.

Yeh, of what I've seen he's a good keeper. I would still like to see us go for some bigger names such as Begovic or Scezney before we go for someone who hasn't had a long run of games in the PL or other top divison.

A long hard season of league action is probably a better test of a goalkeepers mental strength and fitness, opposed to just a few cup performances where goalkeepers naturally shine.

I agree, looked good in the Cup but there are a number of goalies who have far more EPL experience and would prefer one of these.

offer him 10-15k a week more with a clean sheet bonus and we'll see those points on the table

In actual fact Randolph is not a bad shout at all.Not a bad 'Free' transfer signing by W.Ham.
A young Randolph was at Charlton when Pardew was manager.
