Now two of their newly appointed board (Melvyn King and David Bernstein) have resigned. Their resignation letters have been published and all the signs are that they put forward radical proposals to tackle deep seated problems at the club and have had their ideas blocked. Their only hope might be if Lerner finally finds a buyer. If that doesn't happen soon I think League One beckons.

They're in a bad way, with likely a bloated squad that they will struggle to move on, and will struggle at championship level. Its one thing to go down because you're not good enough for this league, its another thing to go down because you're total pony for any league. The story of Bolton, Wigan, Fulham, Charlton, Southampton, Leeds et al looks likely to see another name. Problem Villa have, is that they're not good enough already for the championship.

I read that David Moyes is interested in the A.Villa job and is interested in the challenge of reviving their fortunes.
