This post has been merged from a topic called 'Training ground / stadium development' by bexleydave As fixtures with spectators, and normal training are unlikely to start in the immediate foreseeable future, is it an opportune moment to be cracking on with these prjoects and limit loss of income and disruption etc - assuming that construction companies have health and safety regs in place? This post has been merged from a topic called 'Training ground / stadium development' by bexleydave Logical point, only it would be a bold move when we don’t know the future of Covid, football, attendance etc. Plus it looks like the current shareholders have no intention of building a new main stand.

Parish said in a interview on the youtube channel saying that we're negotiating with sainsbury's, and that we're very close to agreeing section 106 with the council. That interview was 3 months ago. not the best sign

From the NY Times article announcing the sale of MLB's NY Mets to Steven Cohen: "The Mets had also entertained offers from other parties this summer, including a group that featured the celebrity couple Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez, and another group led by Josh Harris and David Blitzer, the co-owners of the N.H.L.’s Devils and the Philadelphia 76ers of the N.B.A." I don't know if this good news as far as Palace's finances are concerned but atleast there is one less distraction for Harris & Blitzer.

What if stadiums naturally changed over time to introduce way more corporate style seating. Imagine a stadium that the first lower level was all corporate, pitch side bars, restaurants, lounges etc, then above that the season ticket holders and premium seats then higher up, the rest of us. In no way am I saying I want this, but I can just imagine a club somewhere doing it... I only say this because the mls have these cosy seats, usually 2, that are pretty much pitch side, like on the turf infront of the advertising and it's usually two rich foreign exchange students watching, eating popcorn... I know I know... and the walk way/tunnel is behind the goal and a car is on show to win... it's f***ing bizaare to menthe nfl do it too - but obviously that's the way it's heading out there, would it transcend?

The middle tier of the new stand is meant to include 2,500 corporate seats. The lower tier seats will probably be made up of existing season ticket holders.
