It really is incredulous.Bill Nicholson was famed for his exploits, accordingly I should imagine many supporters in his vicinity would have wanted to have a chat with him. Someone, other than me has a chinwag with him and all of a sudden we are one and the same person ! This other person distinctly recalled the actual game, I couldn't remember it clearly but thought it might have been against Huddersfield and this has been confirmed to me today.

I really take it as a compliment that I am linked with a legendary figure on a Palace chat site given that I could never attain such status.Thank you to you all.

Finally, I seem to recall that going back a few years, Trolley was already in his 70s, alas I am only in my 60s today. This is my last post on this Thread - I have said enough on this matter and don't intend to go over 'Old ground' having to continually repudiate such allegations.

There is now a 'Son of Trolley' on the BBS. Won't be long before we have a 'Son of Willo' on here.

No one minds about your reincarnation Willey. We like you.

You'll be telling me you didn't go to St Joseph's next. Again.

I went to Dulwich but much earlier than our very own Stephen Browett, Paul "The sinnerman" Sinha, or indeed Nigel Farage.

Fair enough. You (the Trolley you) do know a lot about my old teachers though. Friends or ex-colleagues i will assume.

Only one of our family went to Dulwich, the others were at Alleyns and spent their time taking the pess out of our Dulwich boy!

So. in the interests of fainess... The exhibits...

EXHIBIT A - WILLO - HOL - 2016
I recall sitting right next to the late, great Bill Nicholson at Selhurst. I think the game was home to Huddersfield in the FA Cup.Nicholson was fulsome of praise for Andy Gray and Tottenham later signed him.

EXHIBIT B - TROLLEY - BBS - 2005
I recall being seated in the 'Directors Box' next to the late, great 'Bill Nicholson' during an FA Cup home game against 'Huddersfield' many moons ago and the legendary 'Manager' was singing the praises of our combative midfielder who of course eventually found his way to 'White Hart Lane'.

Same person? Hogwash

Most certainly not European.

I'm afraid not, much as you would like tio believe it is.

I was sitting in the next seat to Bill Nicholson (Right by his side) , I have no idea who was on the other side, indeed Trolley asserts he was seated "Next to" this doesn't necessarily mean adjacent to ! "Next to" can mean in "Proximity to" which could mean he was near to Bill Nicholson and not RIGHT next to him !

Trolley was specific about the game, whereas I wasn't too sure but Trolley's revelations have confirmed that I was right and it was against Huddersfield. As for signing for Tottenham this is a fact.

To be linked with a "Legend" is actually quite flattering, indeed if I WAS that "Legend" on the BBS and I wished to join HOL I would have joined as Trolley rather Willo !

Anyhow I really don't have to justify myself and keep answering spurious allegations. If I WAS Trolley, given his status, I would readily admit to being that person.

I have said enough. No more for me to add. Let's get this thread back on track as it has been seriously de-railed.Many Thanks.

Palace's very own ' Del-boy ' !

At his peak, just about the complete midfield player. He and Geoff Thomas used to bully the opposition, but Andy could play as well.

I met him at the 1990 Cup Final team re-union dinner last year. A great character . The Club should look at getting him in as an Ambassador on match days, I think he's a natural !

He looked in good shape too, unlike when he appeared in a testimonial looking like a darker version of Neil Shipperly !

Got himself back in shape has he? Good on him. I saw him at the dog track one evening a good 15-17 years ago and he looked like he had a car crash and swallowed the airbag.

Trolly was not a legend he was a pain in the arse that ruined many threads on the BBS. Whilst you are articulate and polite you are quite clearly deranged. That's all i have to say on this thread as its Crystal Clear that you are Trolly/Willo and i have my suspcians you are a geeky nerdy little Brighton Fan.
