Would someone please explain how this is legal? In the US agents are paid by their clients. If a team paid them that would be considered an illegal kickback. Divorced...And LOVING it! VJRAM Rev. Would someone please explain how this is legal? In the US agents are paid by their clients. If a team paid them that would be considered an illegal kickback.

If a team paid them that would be considered an illegal kickback. yeah but our teams don't "buy" players. i guess they sort of consider a head hunting fee. still odd though. the NFL doesn't pay agents but they do set a fee limit for contract negotiations that can be paid so the young guys aren't getting screwed over.

yeah but our teams don't "buy" players. i guess they sort of consider a head hunting fee. still odd though.

the NFL doesn't pay agents but they do set a fee limit for contract negotiations that can be paid so the young guys aren't getting screwed over.
