Does this thread assume that we have no talent coming through - AP has signed at least three young players that he considers have potential. COYP

No chance £30 mil. They are are on big wages so hard enough to get rid of, especially when they know you don't want them anymore. Ledley, Mutch, Chungy, Gayle, Williams (who I think we should let go for his own good) we will never get £30 mil for them. £15 mil possibly, £10mil more than likely.

The rest are out of contract or won't get a fee or nobody will take.

We are looking for 10mil for Gayle alone if he is in the shop window. Not saying that we will get 30 mil but if all those you mentioned do go it will be much closer to 20 than 10 esp as Mutch only came in last season for about 5 and I doubt we will take a big loss on him.

With regards to Batshuyai, with the teams linked/rumoured to be interested in him there is no way he will only be 17mil, i would have thought you can at least double that!

There is also the Euro factor to take into account, have a good competition and your transfer value rises disproportionately, remember James move to Real, hardly gets a start. So either buy early which SP will not sanction or most likely scrabble around towards the end of the transfer window bringing in reinforcements and hope we get off to a flyer.

£69 mil. Besdides the cost it's highly risky because all their contracts' expire or are up for renewal within 12 months. Great if they're all a success, but they never will be, cheap or expensive players.

Do ok and they all want increases based on time left on contract. Do badly and they're all the same way down their contracts and worth the same proportion of their initial cost while the team sinks lower and nowhwere to move.

£69 mil is virtually impossible and stupid for a club like ours to spend. Each squad player he listed will also probably want to come on 50-100% more of what current squad players like Campbell and Lee will be on.

Since promotion our spending on transfers has generally been in the £25-35 million bracket. I can see us going above that this coming window. In terms of wages, I think we'll see another close to Cabaye type money (£70-80k) and 2 maybe 3 around £50-60k come in.

I suspect that the focus of our transfer action will be focused on the spine of our team, and if we spend real money +10m it will be on either a centre back or centre mid.

We may need another full back and winger as cover but I don't expect us to spend significantly here.

I don't see anyone from the lists that really stand out as players that would really make the difference, but agree with some (not all) of the players that will need to leave for there own careers as well as for the team to move forward. I wish them all the best, especially Paddy.

A couple of things I'd like to comment on from peoples responses.
- Gibbs 11m, I can't believe that anyone values him that highly. It's a game full of opinions but I don't see that value in him myself.

- Batshuayi who is this guy? I don't recognise him as a really lethal striker that will solve our issues. Spending even more money on strikers going to give a much better hold in games? I'm not convinced.

No one has mentioned the 100Million that tight arse Parish has sitting in his back pocket, plus the mega TV deal this season

The thing is guys, there are 19 other teams looking to strengthen too. And therefore the question becomes, 'why palace' for the players. Unfortunately the players we need to take us onto the next level will also probably be scouted by the likes of Stoke, west ham, Everton etc.

We need a surprise from somewhere - fingers crossed!

I think the op is way off the mark, there should not be that many coming in .out of our regular 11 one that could leave is Cabaye,i just don't think his heart is at Palace.A back up for Delaney could be needed as he may not play as bigger part next season as he has this season with injuries and age catching up. Wouldn't sell him, though! Townsend from Newcastle would be a good addition

Zaha has some green grass in front of him here. Finds Ambrose
not a bad effort ooooooooooh! what a goal by Darren Ambrose absolutely stunning strike!!! And, Crystal Palace lead @ Old Trafford.

Suspect he will figure for Belgium in the Euros and if they progress well his fee will rocket.

I am so proud to be an Eagles fan yesterday; we showed how fans should be and how a team should work together. We can use this experience to move forward and gain confidence to progress in the league!!
My only hope is that we do not lose many from the team yesterday for next season and that we push forward. We must ensure that we do not lose:
Jason Puncheon

Bakary Sako

Yannick Bolasie

Wilfried Zaha

Damien Delaney

Scott Dann

Dwight Gayle

Connor Wickham

Yohan Cabaye

Joe Ledley

James McArthur

Mile Jedinak

Julián Speroni

Pape Souaré

Joel Ward

Martin Kelly

But we need to bring in improvements
