Depressing isn't it. Also, his choice of words. He said he's a proud supporter of "the Crystal Palace Football Club" - who talks like that?

A Cock of an almighty standard thats who

So because his political beliefs are different to yours and possibly the majorities it makes it embarrassing to support the same football club?

Despite him at least being intelligent enough to carve a career out of his political beliefs and be able to back his arguments enough to win public votes, we somehow see this as not okay but are fine with drunken fat louts chanting racist and homophobic slurs because they aren't in the public eye?

A democracy is being allowed to have your own alliance but it appears you can only vote labour, Conservative or racist.

Before you ask, no I do not vote UKIP, I just hate when people berate others for different beliefs and say they can't support the football club because of that. Ridiculous.

Well said Lee.

Those people berating him for his genuinely held beliefs that never change and distancing themselves from him probably think Corbyn is an okay geezer rather than a lying hypocrite who is now embracing the Remain campaign despite being bitterly opposed to the EU for 40 years and calling for it's abolition.

And whilst Cameron claims he supports Aston Villa (or West Ham when he hasn't been recently briefed due to similar colours) I don't doubt Nigel does support our team based on his geographical proximity to Selhurst.

Anyway your political persuasion has nothing to do with your choice of team!

I like Nige. Don't support him politically, but he seems the sort of bloke you could enjoy a pint with.

Chukka, on the other hand, I'd fully expect to be a kn0b.

Mackenzie just seems mad as a box of frogs

Not surprising he aligns himself with Palace as he is/ was local. Went to the same school as Parish, Goldberg, and, I have to admit, myself.

I'm sure there are people who are Palace fans with far more sinister or nasty politics. I don't like the guys politics and party, but they're hardly the devil.

I like Farage. Don't agree with many of his views but I always admire someone who has the courage of their convictions. And the world would be boring if we all had the same political views.

I wonder how many other famous folk we'll have claiming an allegiance to the Palace before 21/5!

I remember him saying once that his son is a season ticket holder. I do support him politically because he stands up for his country.

I, on the other hand, can't abide him. But I'd still jump up and down with him when we score and join him in singing Glad All Over. Sport & politics shouldn't be mixed up. Ever.
