Silly season in fine form already?? I am hoping for Clinton Morrison to come in and maybe...... Razor ruddock? Hopefully some news on transfers though as others seem to be getting busy already.

Why not add some quality to our squad which we all agree is very thin.One or two real quality players added every season whilst investing in the infrastructure and developing quality youth from the academy.Mata will no doubt be surplus to requirments at utd, and with record income from the tv deal we could afford one or two special players. Are we always destined to be scrabbling round the relegated clubs looking for bargins.

Some of the names being launched on this thread.. It's embarrassing.. Ok so we've got the TV deal. Money money money. And you want us to make a 'special' signing? This is the KEY word here.. Define special? Like a £20 million on Mata special? Or a £400k Mahrez special? Maybe another Jamie Vardy from non-league.. Is that special? In this thread we have Mata, Fabregas, Nasri and Obi Mikel (lol), let's first of all take into account their wages. 100k per week each? On average? Sounds about right... That's £19.2 million a year on 4 players JUST on wages. Transfer fees? Mikel would probably be the cheapest out of that lot.. £5 million maybe? At least? Fabregas £10 million at least, Nasri and Mata £15-£20 million at least. That's £64.2 million on FOUR players in ONE year AT LEAST. You lot need your heads looked at. Go and support QPR if you want mercenaries, and please god never get a job in football. Difference is, out of all the players I've just listed, Vardy and Mahrez are the ones who just won a title and the pair costed f**k all. THAT'S what we SHOULD be calling a 'special signing', not this "Oh but we've just had the TV deal lets spend £30m on someone s***" bollox.

I am not advocating 4 players just one.Mahrez and Vardy are once in a five or ten season lucky find, name some other players who have achieved what they have recently leicester had a perfect season as we would have if the second half of the season was like the first.Look at Stoke, bought 2 big players in Shaqiri and Imbula to help consolidate a top half finish.All I am saying is that to stay in the prem we have to invest in a better squad one or two decent signings a season(not 4) is a must if we are to improve.I am not saying don't take a punt on some unknown lower league or foreign players, but getting a good solid proven player should be a priority.as from next year most of our first team players will be on 60k a week plus. so paying proven quality 100k is not a massive stretch.
