Now we're signing a Gillingham attacking midfielder.. Sums this club's transfer policy up. Parish making more money...

I used to be Parish's biggest critic regarding transfers when we first hit the big time but I think that he now knows what needs to be done to a) survive and b) progress in this division and I am willing to disregard all of the media speculation and wait and see what happens as I think that people will be surprised.

Players I would like to see come in for next season:-
Remy
Nasri
Krul
Gibbs
Redmond
Sissoko

All upgrades for the squad and most are potentially affordable.

I dont think Remy would be that cheap. If we are going for a big name striker, Slinani every time!

It's laughable to think we would ever get near the likes of Batshuayi, Benteke or Slimani.

They will all be going to top clubs, if they are made available.

Infact, I don't even see Berahino contemplating coming to us either, even if we could afford him, which I don't know if we could.

I would look at Moussa Dembele of Fulham, with offer of regular first team football.

Not sure about his contract but probably less than 10mil to buy. Wages are going to be the highest level ever for all signings in the Premier this year due to the massive TV settlement. Sub 10mil and 80k per week for Remy would be cheap by today's standards. No factual basis for these figures by the way!

Nice one, raw palace! My kind of humour and a great score in Scrabble esp. on triple letter score. Might need a couple of goes to complete his name though....

Not really. We are not a big name club. Has got us into trouble before and will again. Big names doesn't equate to success

Whoever mentioned moussa dembele of fulham is spot on, youngster who can impact on first team with resale value. Quality prospect

Delanney got close - boom tish.

Problem with many of these names isn't transfer fee, its wages. Players on contracts with Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City, all who will be looking to clear players out, will be on 100k plus a year, and looking for 5 year contracts.

You have to remember how much more money these clubs have available to them. Man Utd gate receipts are more than our TV rights, and the commercial income is staggering.
