He may well turn out to be the next Benteke (although I am in the camp of really wanting Benteke) I think a lot of clubs are willing to take a bit of a punt, on the offchance that they may have another Bony or Benteke on their hand- very good PL striker at way under the £30m plus asking price for a top PL striker. Babacar maybe fits into this category, young, a promising but not outstanding scoring record, but with the physical characteristics to do well as a lone PL striker. Of course for every Benteke there are 10 Sonogos!

I reckon board realise Benteke deal is starting to slip away so we are using the 30 mill we would have spent on that to buy Babacar and Vasquez, taking a bit of a gamble on Babacar.

This bloke hasn't got the best goal return, but imagine if he came and scored first game. I recon the confidence would carry him through and we could end up with a newly discovered benteke on our hands. I still would rather benteke, but this guy as our 3rd striker would be ideal. He has all the credentials to be a very good Prem striker
