Yet again a more intelligent and articulate person would demand more respect if he said that he didn't need lessons in the English language from a yam yam.

Again another example of when not swearing could be used. Of course I didn't mean any of it, just thought it fitted in with the context of the thread.

Ha ha very good. I think this could go back and forward forever.

I'd like the swear filter to stay Not because I don't swear. I do from time to time. It's nice to get a rest from it. As many around me struggle to speak without swearing.

There are more creative ways to describe players.
Eg "Jordan Mutch played like Wayne Andrews' left leg."

Fl1pp1ng 'Eck! He's not that good.

Swearing is great in the right situation ( most actually), I've been walking round a big building site with the builder and an architect or quantity surveyor ( who are really looked upto at their firm ), in a suit. I'm in steel toe caps and casual clothes.
The builders talking to them , then I ask a question and the surveyor tries to put me down with a cutting reply and I go " who the f**k you talking to mate?"( don't even need to swap the mate for c**t), you see the colour drain out of the spineless little c**t. Talk to the people at their work and their wife like they want , then some jumped up tradesman like me fronts them and they melt, the best bit is the 5 second silence that I'm relishing and he's looking for a hole to sink into.
Would never put it on someone that couldn't /shouldn't have to take it, but some of the pompous c**ts that have it all their own way, f**king love it. Get as much out of it as cashing the cheque sometimes.

Nobody looks up to either of these people. Be it the companies that employ them, the companies that have to work with them or any subbies or tradesmen.

They're universally hated. Even other surveyors hate a QS.

Let's not turn this into another f*cking 'Willo' thread.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

My sister has been working with me on building sites for near 30 yrs.
She's fairly small, not butch looking, although bats for the other side.
Anyway, the amount of times fella's swear it up in front of her and go'oops. sorry luv'
Her usual response is'c*** off' (if she can be bothered)
Funny enough I don't like clients swearing at me for petty s***, its usually very effected, as in speak like one of them.
If they start it then that bridge has been crossed and all bets are off(or c*** off as the saying goes)

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

When I started on sites at 14-15 the advice was, I don't care what you say there but don't bring it home.

It doesn't bother me at all to hear it or say it but like you I don't do it to clients, architects, surveyors etc. and don't expect it back. Site manager, no problem.
