If we serious about being a top half club , need to stop shopping in the championship and bring players in with some prem league pedigree. I would love us to bring in t.vermaelen(barca),J.Bruma (psv) , townsend(newcastle) or moses , and siggursson and Wilfred bony.

It will be the same as ever - no signings until the last minute and then an existing player signing a new contract, someone on loan and whoever's left after the decent signings have been snapped up weeks before.
With the money from 4 seasons in the Premiership surely we could set aside £30 million to sign a decent striker, a midfielder and a central defender.

Let's keep the ball this season!

Pretty sure 2010 & Alan P know we need reinforcements. A new right back (know Ward had a good FA Cup final, but has been found out too many times this season) and CD, a midfielder like Sigurdsson, a winger and proven goal scorer. If keeping Punch, please advise him to do some practise with his right foot so he doe not have to make those slowing turnarounds every time he gets the ball.

look at the GF and GA this season. defense is right about where they should be. yes, some issues but average. attacking was atrocious. if money is an issue (as it always is), then spend only on attack. it's far, far below average. defense can wait until next year.

I think that you do the management an injustice as although that may well have been the case a few years ago last year the rumours about Cabaye started very early and he was actually signed well before the end of the window.

Bamford was bought in on loan well before the end as was Wickham.

By all means moan at them after the event if they haven't done any worthwhile business but not in advance as I think you may well be surprised (but please no more QPR rejects)

This is just not how we operate now - have you not been keeping up!

Although frustrating at times, I felt like I understood why we have been cautious with signings over the last few years. Avoiding doing a bit of a QPR made sense.

I'm now starting to think that we have got past that dreaded third season and ought to push the boat out a bit now.

I'd like to see room for some of our youth players to come through, I am a big advocate of that, but I'd also like to see us make a couple of showcase signings to really push on. Not necessarily a huge transfer fee, but maybe it's time to accept that the wages are going to need to start to rise a bit if the club want to rise up the league. Get the contract lengths and terms right so that we aren't lumbered with a financial millstone IF the worst happened though.

All this said, I intend to keep my frustrations to myself and get behind the team if this doesn't happen.

Think that's overly simplistic. We play in such a way as to try to not concede and Spring a counter and score that is more the explanation of those stats.

Defenders is a priority as much as offense.

Damo has at best one season and at his age is very susceptible to ligament damage and we could be up s*** creek of that happens.

We must, must must improve fullbacks as they are proving a problem area RB in particular, and we need a striker.

This summer ain't gon be cheap if we want to improve.
