If there is any truth in this he would be an absolute fool not to join them.

Ok maybe take a very small pay cut, but he will be playing under Benitez, playing in front of 45000 every week, start every week, will score for fun and be adored and back playing in the prem the following year...

No brainer this one for Gayle

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I agree with your view but you're relying on Gayle having a brain.

Never let the facts get In the way of ones hatred of an individual (in this case Pards) eh?

Ian Wright had broken his leg twice in the six months

prior to the Final. It was the physios that got him

on the bench for the match. He'd been doubtful for weeks.

Seems that Gayle is attracting attention from Villa also.
Pards as usual, apparently feels a priority for us is to sign yet another goalie, another one of his cronies,Tim Krull.

Sell a striker and bring in an additional keeper.

I think the most relevant aspect of selling is Gayle is that unless I've missed it, we haven't signed a replacement.Glen Murray went to Bournemouth and who was his replacement? and how many goals did we score ?

Indeed, Villa are 'rumoured' to be showing interest. At this rate the only strikerleft will be Wickham!

This reminds me of the Sean Scannell sale. Went mad on HOL and then Hambo summed it up perfectly. 'You cannot have change if you don't change (what you wanted changing)'

Gayle is one of the several who are arguably not good enough which is why Champ clubs want him and not one Prem club has been serious about him. Only Norwich showed any minor interest.

We need about 8 players as real back up to the 1st team. Some of the new additions to take the place of the 1st team or be just as good. We can't do that if we hang onto players not good enough.

You need more back up than that. You nearly need another team. And I didn't mean sign 8 but it's not far off that with lack of quality and some leaving too.

Only wingers you can probably say you only need less in back up. 1 to replace 2.

CB's you need 2 + 2. Maybe 1 back up and 1 who can play RB and CB like Kelly.

There may be some players who can play either full back but that's difficult if 2 get injured. Then the utility player being injured as well.

Agree with whoever said its time to either use him properly or let him move on. He's far too good to be warming our bench. Let him go to a newly promoted club and show what he can do. Those saying he doesn't offer anything are watching a different game...his aerial ability for a small guy...his hold up play...his dribbling...set pieces....and obvious his goal scoring. He's a class act. Top scorer three seasons in a row - mostly from the bench. Says a lot.

Wish you all the best Gayley whatever happens.

Yes I competly agree with this. Why not loan him to a newly promoted prem team?
