Lukaku didn't impress me much either.

Courtois was good, Mertens and when he came on Origi. But basically they looked to me like a sh!te Holland.

To be fair De Bruyne was playing far deeper than he does at Man City whilst Hazard played in the more advanced role. It was a waste of De Bruyne's talent playing him just in front of the back 4.

Belgium have quality players. Just can't play as a team.

I just meant that last night he didn't look anything like a £50m+ player. Playing too deep? For that money he ought to be able to play with a wetsuit and an aqualung. We say the same thing about Cabaye, but he didn't cost £50m.

Didn't get to see this match, who could/should we be looking at from these two squads?, and more importantly any idea if ireland can do the job on one of them?

Belgium were poor and Italy solid. No doubt Wilmots has a tough job as he has a lot of quality in the squad but with the likes of Mertens and Carassco (prob the best player in the Champs League final) you have to utilise them. Much better to play with width, which showed when they both came on at the death and caused problems. Italy look a very tough team to break down if they take the lead altho not unbeatable, well organised and technically very good. In relation to future Palace players nobody stood out who would likely wish to come to us.

Cheers, i'll know what to watch out for tomorrow! i suppose we need a win, and seems Belgium would be our best chance at it i guess. Ok then i'll apply my scouting elsewhere

you think we could coax that Belgian ref over, pretty solid for belgium today in their 3-0 win over Ireland, man of the match performance, may be worth a punt.

Pardew is apparently interested in "one or two" Belgium players who are playing at the euros. I know we have been linked with batshuayi in the past, who looks a great talent, but I'd say he's probably a bit out of our grasp sadly with teams like Tottenham apparently interested. So who would you say these Belgium players are? Is benteke going with the team?

Suddenly makes a lot more sense

Just those two it would seem although I've said it before dries mertens would be incredible for us. And there right back hasn't looked to bad I think.
