If you post your credit card number, expiry date, security code, and mother's maiden name, I'll look into it for you

The link below is 5 years old but it appears you can't pay by cash. [Link]

I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.

See my earlier post. I checked on the Travelodge web site.

This is in their standard terms:

You must be able to show photo identification such as a passport or driver's license or a valid credit or debit card if you are paying by cash for a walk-in booking at a Travelodge hotel.

only miscreants would actually stay at a travelodge so i'm sure it was a scam.

It all seems damnably queer.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Every time I walk past Lewisham Premier Inn I consider conducting a survey of guests to establish why the fcuk anyone would be staying there.

Is it some sort of tax scam where they can register a loss on the property?

I think you're forgetting the Lewisham Holy Trinity of Maggie's fry ups (up to 20 items - eg one egg & 19 rashers of bacon), an unbeatable pint of Guinness and a very decent jukebox in The Anchor (if you can put up with the clearly imbred locals) and an inflatable doll with 'Realistic V@gina' from the sex shop - all 2 mins walk from the Premier Inn

I think you've explained it there. They probably do rooms by the hour.

I've been told of a bevy of cheap and scraggy eastern european sex workers are to be found around the station & Riverdale areas although I've never spotted any.

Perhaps I should leave my claw hammer at home next time.
