Agreed, a great replacement for Campbell, a decent squad player who we should possibly go to once we've got the deal sorted for our main forward target.

The rest of his career, his personal contributions and where Palace have been at the past few years (top 10, fa cup finalists, not perennial strugglers) suggest he would be a decent addition to the squad, not however someone we should make our number 1 target. Hes certainly not a touch on Connor Wickham.

There was speculation on Sky Sports that he wants away because Leicester wouldn't give him improved terms. So either money or more regular football could be a motives. I agree with others that have said he's not that good and would be behind a fully fit Wickham. Could still be a decent move if combined with one of Benteke/Berahino/Sakho.

Almost anyone who's less than 30k a week, would be an improvement on Campbell, and anyone on more who can deliver more than 4 in 31 would be better. That inflatable that scored against Liverpool would arguably be a better option than Campbell as a striker. Campbell should have been a midfielder, and somehow it seems like no one realised it soon enough.

So the window is closing soon and strikers aren't really the position we need to be looking at (first window I can remember this being the case in a long while). For posterity though, I thought I mention that Ulloa has handed in a transfer request. Would any of you consider him a good player to bring in? I think he would be competent cover and similar style of player to Benteke should we be in the market for that type of squad addition. No idea if he would be happy with this himself, as he is wanting out of Leicester for that reason (and more money obviously). Anyway, one for the Summer?
