I do as there are some smashing bargains to be had there if you sift through the rubbish. I bought a handmade Dartington glass carafe there last week for £7.99

No one's got going yet; once the Euros is over things will go nuts. I'd also suggest the majority of stories are down the agents fanning the flames, linking players with clubs in an attempt to worry potential interest.

Apologies, I didn't realise the bigger clubs you were talking about were the likes of Bristol City and Ipswich. Edited by Casual (26 Jun 2016 8.53am) Yes, when we were sitting bottom of the championship and had just conceded four away to Bristol City I did consider them to be bigger clubs at the time. Some may say that history wise they still are. The transfer window is looking le a game of poker now. The point I was making was not to show your hand too early. We could easily rush out and fill a position and then a real top quality player may come available at a price we could afford. Just calm your trunks.

I have to say that I've often felt uncomfortable with some of the claims of which clubs we're supposedly 'bigger' than, especially when the criteria used is 'being in London' or having the 'best atmosphere', but the possibility that we're a smaller club than Bristol City had never entered my thinking and, if true, would mean that, in the great scheme of things, we're microscopic
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

When I was first getting into football in the mid to late 70's , Bristol City were in the top flight as one of the bigger city clubs, Ipswich although a smaller town, were competing for the title, winning FA cups and playing in Europe.
