Technically we're economically in conflict with everyone now, not just the EU (who fair enough, will look to their own interests over ours). But also with the US, China etc as we will need to negotiate our own deals with those nations, without being part of the worlds largest trading block.

I think its inevitable that an exit, will economically and politically, reduce our influence and power, but that's irrelevant, to why people chose to exit. We voted exit to reduce the influence of that trading block over political issues, such as Freedom of Movement etc.

I think its a bit naïve to think that the trade powers of the world will negotiate a better deal for the UK than they do with the whole of the EU / EEA.

But there is more to like than money, and society cannot just be defined by profit and corporate agendas.

Hah. I love the concept of:

1) wanting to leave the EU because you feel someone else shouldn't dictate our rules and determine how we live our lives and

2) telling people where they should and shouldn't buy their food from

He's entitled to his smug response Rudi, and all the while I've got his attention he's not likely to slash his wrists at the thought of losing a debate to a load of thicko old people.

The UK are already free to do that. We have trade deals and will continue to make trade deals with other countries, EU member or not.
