One I don't really think is anywhere near as good as he was although probably better than Adebayor. I can imagine him coming here. Smacks a bit of desperation.

I would only have Van Persie on a pay as you play deal.

I vaguely remember hearing that he renewed his contract recently with his club, literally last month. Suspect they want a fee and he is on big wages too. Really not worth it but I still suspect we want him.
