What is my agenda - accountable policing and state responsibility to its citizens.

I think that's generally regarded as less of an agenda and more a requirement of a functional society.

I think I realised you had a agenda that I found difficult to connect with, when you called the police "executioners" and "murderers"

The following is said without malice or trying to be condescending.

When I asked what would you do if you were a copper and a armed criminal reached for a gun, your reply was... strike up a conversation.

I stopped taking your viewpoint seriously.

Now you're being silly.
Do you think the police officer who shot Micheal Brown was guilty?

That's one individual. The point being that the number of police officers who end up behind bars when an unarmed civilian winds up dead even in very dubious circumstances is near zero. It's a look after your own club and 99% of the time the best families can hope for is a payout from public funds.

Just as its equally, look after your own when a Police officers gets shot in a black neighbourhood.
Do not think it has anything to do colour that they shoot people, white people and many mexican and hespanic people get shot without the need to riot and burn their own towns.

I think colour is a component but police brutality in general is off the scale, as you say, whatever a persons race. Some communities are much better organised than others and so a reaction to the violence has come about in a form that may not be an answer to the question.

Of course the US is very unlike the UK and gun ownership levels mean that a different type of policing is inevitable. A combination of this reality and very notable lack of accountability for violent actions by police has led to the wrong kind of person gravitating to the profession.

Yes, it's one person. They also lied about the claim he said "Hands up, don't shoot" which is still chanted by BLM at rallies, even though they know it's a lie. I am convinced the problem is not one of race, but more about the rich/poor divide. Why BLM are convinced it's racial is beyond me....especially when you look at the facts.
The conversation needs to encompass why so many black people are poor, why so many commit crime, why crime is glorified and why there is so many kids being brought up in single parent households reliant on government handouts.

The rich probably love BLM finger pointing at the police... They watch the working classes at war while they sit in their gated communities laughing.

So pretty much what I said, that its actually a class thing, and the reason its a racial thing is because 'black America' has a voice due to the Black Civil Rights movement, where as poor white people have none (and are generally bumf**ked by US policy).

Figures from New York law enforcement agencies show that 71.2% of shootings there were carried out by black people, 25.6% by Hispanic people, 0.8% by Asian people and 2.3% by white people. Similar percentages apply to the victims of shootings. Similar percentages also apply to most other serious crimes there. Given these high figures, it is unsurprising that the police have more direct contact with these groups.

Those figures are not supported by national figures for the US. The most salient point in the article is that most black victims are killed by black people, and most white victims are killed by white people; "you tend to kill the people you know". Trumps assertion, that 81% of white victims are killed by blacks, is so far from the truth as to be laughable.

The figures can only be analysed where police know both the victim and the assailants race, of course, and plenty of homicides go unsolved.

"Overall, killings of blacks by whites and whites by blacks accounted for about 12 percent of the roughly 6,000 homicides last year in which police had information about the race of both victim and killer – a slight increase from around 11 percent in 2014. About 15.8 percent of white victims were killed by blacks last year, and 8.6 percent of black victims were killed by whites."

Except they don't, as the rate of shootings of black people by police don't seem to reflect a really significant bias, compared to the shooting of poor people.

What is disturbing is how patchy statistics are on people shot and killed / wounded by police officers in the US.

That's ok if it works both ways. After all, if the police are shoot first, ask questions later rather than protect and serve, it must then be ok for me to fire upon them, as it would be reasonable to be in 'fear of my life'.

Oddly, self defence is applicable against law enforcement (for example if a police officer in plain clothes doesn't declare they're an officer, and has a drawn weapon, it is actually a defence to shoot them - provided you can reasonably demonstrate a case of self defence - its uber rare, but has happened, I think Noyes claimed a self defence shooting of an armed plain clothes officer).
