I saw Rowan Atkinson at the feeatre as The Nerd in 1984. He was absolutely hysterically funny. Mr Bean hasn't really survived the ravages of time for the adult Brit but probably - like Benny Hill - will continue to amuse the young and audiences that are less jaded than us cynical old South Londoners.
