I like this bit from his lawyer, as if it shoudl earn him some credit: "Mercifully, no-one was hurt. He was cooperative with the police." He was blind drunk and someone had taken his keys away already. All he had to do was roll into the back of a police van/car. Edited by Stuk (27 Jul 2016 1.19pm)

Co-operating with the police should only count if you've actually co-operated with the police in a way that is meaningful in assisting the police / emergency services with their work (providing evidence to a more serious crime for example - or calling for an ambulance if you wounded someone in a robbery). Also, when being arrested, generally doing what the police want you to do, is generally the only option that doesn't involve resisting arrest or assaulting a police officer.

I am an addict." Of course, you could maybe get a taxi, bus, or walk, rather than drive around town, in a ton of metal that can travel at speeds up to 120mph, drunk as f**k. Being an addict is a struggle, but it doesn't mean you have to be a f**king asshole as well.
