trump supporters are people living in the past. and they've lost every single thing they hold dear for the past 50+ years. they are almost entirely white people who have lost their prestige, jobs, etc. they lost on civil rights. they lost their low-skill jobs, they lost on abortion, they can't even call homosexuals bad names anymore. everything they thought they had is gone. they were in the majority group of influence and even though they still are, they feel as if they are not and have been elbowed out by other groups. marginalized. they don't even care about money. they say it's economic but it isn't. they are just mad as #### and someone needs to pay. and someone needs to bring it back to the good old days when they could say and do whatever they wanted with no repercussions. and all of those jobs will come back too. and then america will be great again!
the studies show (i'll post if you don't believe me) that the republicans have become much more conservative in the past 30-40 years. heals dug in. none of this is a good thing. the left has responded to become more entrenched. trump can say anything he wants at this point. even said he could kills someone and his poll numbers would go up. it's true. there is a population of this country who are beyond reason. and they aren't really conservatives at all so it's not a conservative-liberal issue strictly.

They can't do it over individual voters in an election however, and this is only a two horse race.

Hillary was full of conviction on guns but no detail so does she intend to remove Americans from their freedom to own guns surely not but to become more responsible. This is a very deep area in the American psyche she could get Trumped here no matter how absurd he is.

So Putin is intervening in the US election in favour of Trump so Russia can extend it's influence in Eastern Europe. Trump relies on Russian capital to make his money and members of his campaign team have pro Kremlin links. Most importantly of all the US electorate aren't bothered.
I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like. |

I think if we've learned anything from the Obama administration, Gun Policy, no matter how sensible, reasonable or constructive it is, will simply be met by a no. The American people who think the freedom to own guns and gun control are two different things, are the problem here. Lets not forget that the Republicans shot down a policy of ensuring that people on terrorist watch lists could not legally purchase firearms, undermined a national ATF firearms registration database, prevented the CDC from researching collecting gun death data, and requiring that gun shows require the same level of oversight as gun shops. The US is seriously f**ked when it comes to being reasonable about issues of guns and blind when it comes to realising that there is a massive problem. As a final note, democrat is synonymous with gun control.

No but they could essentially scupper an individual candidate, of course in doing so, they'd only be revealing public interest information - so in someways arguably they'd being doing the US a massive favour - because that person shouldn't be running in the first place. But more realistically, its about trying to influence the voters, in favour of their preferred candidate - Trump. I'd imagine that any state that sees themselves aligned against US interests would prefer to see Trump elected. I know who I'd rather be up against in a debate.

Well you say that, but he and his kids are named in 250m dollar tax evasion case pending charges and maybe charged in relation to a separate fraud investigation involving Trump University. Maybe the next presidential race will be determined by a Jury of their peers, rather than the electorate!!

I highly doubt there are many in the US who doesn't already know which way they'll vote. And a large proportion of them would vote the same way regardless of anything reported in the press or supposedly leaked. Sanders supporters are going to back Trump to spite Hillary and her supporters, are they?

I think your first paragraph is true of voters in general, but US politics very specifically (and increasingly so). I think this election will be confirmed by which side is more entrenched in the 'won't vote for the other guy' camp. I'd be surprised if they did that to be honest, though I think some will just skip voting for either. Although the only reason I can think anyone would vote for Trump is that he isn't a democrat. I really don't understand how he won the nomination (well ok I do, but I don't want to).
