Lukaku has said he is staying at Everton which means Bony won't be going there.

Wilfried bony only scored 6 in 36 games. Yes he was good at Swansea. There must be a reason why they only value him at 13m. Christian benteke is more proven, if we had the choice. CB is the better player, has sell on value and established international.

Bony is only a couple of years older than Benteke and somehow it didn't work out for him.

he is just as good as Beteke and will be some £18 million cheaper.

we are not going to spend £30 million on Benteke so Bony is a very good alternative.

I don't think any price for Bony has been agreed so how does everyone know he will £15m or £18m cheaper.

If Benteke is going to be sold for £30m because Liverpool want to recoup as much as possible of what they paid, how do people known Man City won't do exactly the same with Bony (who cost them £25m, and he cost Swansea £12m so there is absolutely no way he is going for less than that).

Bony would be expected to be a price of between £15m and £20m but unless we put in a bid and it is accepted no one has any clue who represents better value. Most poeple seemed to think a bid of around £25m (before it was apparently rejected) would have been more than enough to get Benteke.

Bony is a good player and would definitely improve our squad. He is massively strong and would be a great hold up player. But he isn't anywhere near as good as Benteke.

Assuming money is not a consideration then everyone should pick Benteke. If we're trying to buy a further striker and the budget limitations are becoming prohibitive then I would guess that Bony might be a more sensible option.

Benteke is better but Bony is still very good.
Both are considerably better than anything else we have been linked with....but Benteke is not worth the price tag (by some distance).
So I would go for Bony PLUS a championship star of the future (Asombalonga) OR Haller from the Dutch league.

MC brought in a lot of players - they have to dump some, i suppose. and i don't think they care about losing money so combine that with the player wanting a real chance to play, is my best guess.

Either would be a great signing for us. If Bony can recapture his Swansea form, or Benteke his Villa form, we'd be set for a relatively pain free season.

Liverpool have brought in players and Benteke hasn't even been on the bench, but they're not willing to budge from their valuation apparently. And most indications are that Benteke wants to leave (indeed Klopp's comments confirm that he has said he wants to leave).

Neither of those have been telling factors.

I'm not saying Bony won't be available for significantly less than Benteke. Just that at the moment no one knows. And people stating categorically that Bony will cost £18m or £12m or ... less than Benteke haven't actually got a clue.

It's been mentioned on SSN & the radio too.

Bony for £13M is that not a bargain? I'll be honest I don't really know him but sounds like a dirt cheap.

Also £13M for Ashley Williams sounds a steel too.

Possibly sell Bolasie to buy Bony and Williams and then Liverpool might see we're not desperate to buy Benteke and reconsider our £25M offer.

I would be over the moon with all three even it means Bolasie has to be moved on.
