He was found out too quickly by the opposition who soon realised that he shied away from tough tacklers and even a strong glare would put him off.

Scored the goal of the season though

I was being a bit of a tw*t with that comment, but he was fantastic for me in CM02. Him and Wayne Carlisle were my best players.

Agrre with all these apart from Lombardo, not really at Palace long enough. And we went down with a awful record.

So I'd put in "Fast Eddie" McGoldrick instead. Agree that "Cannonball" Colin could belt the old leather, wonder how modern keeps could cope with that coming at them on a wet Saturday..

can't put Wilf in there yet sadly, he's not really a pure winger. More like John "Yogi" Hughes.

Blimey - that takes me back. I (think I) remember his debut for us when he scored a screamer of a left-footed free kick. I think we won 3-0.. and Walsall comes to mind.. but that might just be where we got him from.. but yes, he had a left foot on him!

Yes and went back to them once we got promoted, don't think he ever played for us in Div. 1. Must have been a bit gutted.

Mark Lazarus was apparently very p.o'd when we sold him. Didn't he end up at Orient along with Sewell, Jacko and Phil Hoadley?
