Also would definitely have Rooney in the team. However, in answer to the original question I think Branislav Ivanovic is an absolute liability these days and wouldn't really want him. Baffled how Chelsea haven't replaced him by now.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Rooney won't make the palace team.....hahahaha this is why drugs are bad. Makes you talk crazy. He is good enough for every single manager that had him on thier team but not good enough for palace. Wow. Just wow.

Sorry but that's a load of bollocks. If we had Rooney in the current team we would be comfortably top 10. He is the type of number 10 we need, great on the ball can spray long balls around or support the striker and be dangerous in front of goal. He may well be out of form, but to suggest that he is anything other than a great player who we couldn't get in a million years is laughable.

Go easy on the OP, boys and gals!

He may be potificating but I'm almost inclined to back him up.

England and Palace players are so far apart they almost play on a different planet even though 99% of the ones who are picked play in the very same league as CPFC.

Now Sam's in charge will he go against the grain and pick the one player we've been crying out for, for years? Scotty Dann, of course. I doubt it.

And although Harry Redknapp, no less, has stated the one player missing from our squad in France this summer was Andros Townsend. This Palace fan, for one, won't be surprised if his name is absent from the upcoming squad for England's 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Please explain to me why Ian Wright played 6 seasons for Palace but only really got selected for his country after he left for Arsenal at the age of 28. The list goes on, Sansome, Johnson and Clyne etc.

Back on topic, Rooney and Palce on paper do not mix. He probably would be s***. We all know it'll never happen. But we do have SEVEN internationals who are deemed integral players in their own national squads.

In summary, I like to say Palace players don't play for England because they're just too damned classy!
